So, Laris or Beverly

Remember that Frazier episode where he's up at a cabin trying to decide whether or not to commit to a woman and starts daydreaming, having conversations with all of his exes...? Beverly Crusher, Laris, Vash, Marta Banatides, Jenice Manheim, Phillipa Louvois, Kamala, Nella Darren, Anij...who'd like to go first?

Also the answer is Beverly. It's always been her. He just needed to work through his own issues.

Of course, she's remarried at this point.

So Picard can die alone.

Vastly prefer Picard stays with Laris, but I have a bum feeling that won't happen.

I also had a bum feeling they'd kill off Zhaban between seasons, so I'm one-for-one here on that stuff. And I hate it.

Hey, Picard has already let one of her husbands die to clear the field, he can do it again. And apparently, his feelings of responsibility and guilt for Jack's death wasn't actually what kept him from pursuing Beverly whole-heartedly, so it'll be a clear runway this time.

Given the writers of Picard like to give us the unexpected, I think it's very possible Beverly remarried at some point after Nemesis. In the first episode of S2 when Picard is talking to Guinan about the ship having sailed on him finding love and that he watched it go, I thought that was an indirect reference to Beverly.

That being said, I suspect the relationship between Picard and Crusher is going to be a significant part of S3. Matalas has suggested that Picard and Crusher had a romance at some point either after Nemesis or even before TNG (he said something about there is more to their relationship that we have been privy to). It also appears Gates McFadden is a major player this season, given she and Patrick Stewart are fronting the Picard panel at ComicCon next weekend.

Neither...

because they had the chance to have him and Beverly set up in marital bliss at the start of PICD but they did not. Apparently Bev was the last thing on his mind, as she probably well knew.

Then in S2 we get Laris looking at him all googly eyed but, oh no, Picard must act like an ass towards someone trying to love him, AGAIN.

So now it's time to flip a coin, which one of them wins this wonderful "prize" of a human being?

Neither because both have given up showing him affection and moved the hell on to warmer waters.

Picard and "Number One" live happily ever after.

IF he has to choose one though, I prefer Laris. No way Beverly still holds a candle for him.

He's been doing it with Ro or Barclay.

Why must every show have every character involved in some sexual escapade? But with the cavalcade of cooties nowadays, why not?

Besides, TNG - when it was trying to figure itself out in season 1 - was hinting at Crusher. That'd be the smoothest way to go, if they have no ideas for the characters other to officially/canonically hook them up?
