So How Will Guinan Be Brought Back?

I really want to them to retcon their very special relationship to mean something more than the explanation in Time's Arrow. Hanging out with her in that cave for a couple minutes didn't seem all that special

I just rewatched Time's Arrow on Tv I'm curious about the past relationship with Picard and Guinan and how they met that was hinted at in the original Tng series.

Which doesn't mean you have to describe the sex in detail.

I admit I didn't even consider to be to detailed. Seemed kind of tame to me which is kind of how I feel it would play out on CBS All Access. Also the cussing was kind of on pare with all the cussing people keep going on about with the show. Either way it plays into the idea that if they are going to use her it should be in some kind of new way from how they were on TNG. To show how their special friendship has also evolved and changed over the years. Plus I kind of like the idea if they are going to use Guinan they can show her in a more human light. As in someone who does have sex and romance like regular people and she is more than just wisdom and someone with special insight. We never really seen to much of that side of the character.

For SIX YEARS we've had a policy in place about sexually explicit post content.

For you fan-ficcers, erotic stories and/or descriptions of sexual acts are not allowed, nor are threads containing sexually explicit jokes, crude language and/or excessive amounts of profanity.

What applies in the Fan Fic forum would apply elsewhere as well. Your post tipped over the line in my opinion as a moderator in this forum. You can discuss Picard and Guinan having sex without writing the script for the scene.

Fair enough. Sorry if it went to far.

Guinan and Picard were so close I don't believe she would let him just sit around on the vineyard so hopefully there is some material to work with there

I would like to see a scene where Guinan gives a verbal beat down to Clancy

But it would be a cool way for them to open the season. Also I think Picard and Guinan having sex is something many fans would love.

No and no. (I get you would love it and that's finde, but I doubt many fans would.)

Also, but I highly doubt the show would be sexually explicit anyway.

I think Picard would. I mean we did have the sex scene on Discovery were we saw a Klingon breast and Picard I think is even more for adults. Plus we got some pretty graphic violence on the show so I would hope that sex would be seen as okay if they are going to also show stuff like eye balls being pulled out. Of course maybe this stuff also just doesn't seem graphic to me because I am currently watching The Affair on Showtime and they got some super steamy sex scenes that I would see as to much for Picard.

So she’s been invited to the show by Patrick Stewart himself. I’m guessing it might be something that she needs help with or Picard going to her for help like he did with Troi and Riker. Also I wonder is she’ll just make a short appearance or something more substantial like a actual arc. It seems to be a waste to bring Whoopi out for a short scene but then it looks like they don’t have a ton of money for these episodes and Whoopi is probably to expensive if an actor to keep around the whole season. Thoughts on what you guys want to see or don’t want to see with the return if Guinan.
With everything you mentioned, does it have to be? Does it have to be something of peril? Why can't Whoopi work a full serial season regarding her Guinan character; is the View that difficult she can't moonlight? On TNG she appeared to be an enigma, and the more I saw of her the more I thought was a special individual. I thought ST GENERATION and FIRST CONTACT missed an opportunity for audiences to witness, in a first person point of view, how the Borg rips up societies from the ground up and having Guinan in horror witnessing this space holocaust, but that's old hat and she moved on from the Borg. I would hate to see Guinan still having issues with the Borg and she's now killing aliens or people for some dystopian reason which was prominent in PICARD. When developing a serial season with Guinan or just an episode or episodes... make it special, make it fun... something springs true to the character and the world she's embodying now.

Could she open the eyes of Jean-Luc that those tentacle androids are not the fear he was lead to believe, but maybe something optimistic. I wished Guinan happened to be in Montana in First Contact instead of Alfrie Woodard's character. Besides that Guinan had a way of expressing her views with some clever subtext to get her point across, does Jean-Luc needs this after the first serial of PICARD? Probably not, so I'm looking forward to a tale which honors the Guinan character and doesn't end up being the last of her. Shoot for the stars with Guinan and make it fun and entertaining for how long Kurtzman and the bunch have her.

I actually liked Lily a lot in First contact. She set Captain Picard back on the right path away from revenge. As for Guinan I agree no revenge against the borg stuff. But maybe she’ll face a mystery for Golem Picard to solve. What I don’t hope they don’t do is make an entire season on Guinan helping the golem dealing with having Picards memories of being human and having to deal with being an Android. He’s an Android with memories it’s time for him to move on and just have adventures. Some exciting adventures and exploration would be nice. So I’m hoping Guinan will give him that.

NCC73515 Guinan briefly mentions how she met Picard a long time ago .When he traveled back in time to San Francisco to find out about some mysterious Time traveling aliens in Times arrow and Mark Twain helps Guinan & Data and the TNG Crew stop the time traveling aliens causing more trouble. There's a Stargazer novel Oblivion where you get a story how Guinan and Picard met for the first time by Micheal Jan Friedman. It's a great book I highly recommend it.It also mention's Times arrow in the synopsis too.

One thing we should consider though with her return is that it will likely be connected to the arch of the season. So I think it will be more than just a cameo in the void. It will be connected. That's why my romance idea was kind of connected to what I think might be a season arc. Figuring out how she will be brought back will I think be easier once we know what their plans are for season 2. Another idea is she and Seven know each other. Guinan of course has a past with the Borg destroying her planet so it's possible that Guinan helped Seven discover more of her humanity at some point. What if Seven came to terms with being gay due to Guinans help at some point. We might also see a funeral for Hugh which she shows up for as another possibility.

They would need to deal with the fact that Goldberg has aged like a regular human being since the last time we saw her in the role of Guinan, and not like an El-Aurian.
