Finally got a chance to watch the new episode. It's so damn good to start the fourth and concluding season at long last!
...and damn, they didn't waste any time raising the stakes. The bastards killed Zarah.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. I loved seeing how Andre, Ruth, Josie, Alex, Sam, Javi, and the rest were settling in New Eden. I was immediately reminded of
Battlestar Galactica's New Caprica and yet I felt more hope for New Eden than I ever did for BSG's doomed colony. Hardships aside, New Eden felt like they had a chance at becoming sustainable and could ultimately find peace and comfort in its new environment.
Of course, such tranquility doesn't make for good drama, thus enter Admiral Anton Milius (not named here but we know that's the name of Clark Gregg's character) and his forces to fuck everything up. We don't know what his goals are yet, but he's already clearly a force to be reckoned with considering how swiftly he boarded
Snowpiercer and promptly worked their way to sabotage New Eden (unsurprisingly aided by Mrs. Headwood).
I look forward to seeing how this all unfolds, especially since
Jennifer Connelly promises the show "ends on a note of unity and community, with a hopeful note that I really enjoyed."
