Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

In the Last Stand of New Krypton there are hints that both Brainy and Kara have a mutual attraction towards each other...in fact there was an internal monologue from Brainiac 5 where he was doing all he could not to tell about the future. it was pretty humorous. There are some good things from the Silver Age that the new DC brain trust has brought back and the Legion as far as I'm concerned is one of them. Aside from "Batman and Robin" and "Batman Beyond" the two Legion books that Levitz is writing are gold.

Perhaps "Isis" is going to be like Hope...Mercy's counterpart and Lex's bodyguard from the comics.

Yep Cat is appearing...I don't think Cat's Isis but yes that name is attributed to a Cat and as for Cat returning...she's never appeared in Smallville. She'll be making her debut as Jetfire pointed out. She was the hot blond shown shaking Clark's hand in the trailer a few pages back. I just realized that we're almost at page a hundred! We almost have a day and a month to go before Smallville premiers!

Emilie Ullerup from Sanctuary (JPOD RULZ!) was Wat Grant last year on a blind date during a dating show (which made no sense) with Clark in the episode Crossfire.

Can I call her?

Is she mine?

They're replacing this fine piece of ladyhood with some one I don't know if I am in love with completely?

The whole Catherine Grant from "Crossfire" is yet another SMALLVILLE f*ck up...I don't even think they intended for her to be "Cat Grant"...if they are the same...then that too is pretty stupid on the part of the producers & writers.

Sigh sorry Guy I had forgotten about that "Cat Grant". *Shakes head, then does face palm*. This is why I had a good laugh when it was revealed that Brian Peterson had written a hundred page document covering everything that Greg Beeman (is that his name, the director dude or did I just pick out a random name from me arse?) had missed during his time away. These hacks couldn't keep track of half the shit they've done in the past ten years. If I was them I'd just refer people to the Smallville Wiki page.

I don't even know why they bother with any history or back story with this show...a lot of the times they seem to be making things up as they go along with no knowledge of previous episodes. It seemed they made Lois much older than Chloe before Lois appeared on SMALLVILLE and while Chloe was in HS...Lois was in College...but we found out only a year apart and somehow Lois failed her senior year???

There are many things careful planning and rewatching episodes or at least read scripts from episodes that you are tying future events to.

I don't think the writers are as great as they seem to think they are...I don't think Al & Miles had a plan from the beginning and Brian & Kelly are useless.

This show is about young Clark Kent...the boy who will become Superman...I think Al & Miles pitched it as puberty with superpowers? :wtf: By the end of season 2 that is no longer funny and the show really has to get to the core of Clark Kent/Kal El/Superman...which in many ways it has yet to do. As much as I have enjoyed the show...It irritates me just as much.

It's possible because of all the moving about that Lois had a private tutor who was PAID to move forward at the generals pace and she didn't DARE fail him, no matter if she was skipping grades or moving through the curriculum at double speed.

Or Chloe was left behind a couple times?

I don't know if Lois is supposed to be older than Clark and established at the Daily Planet before he is hired there...but they handled that horribly. I still don't think bringing in Lois as early as they did was wise...like Lois being introduced in season 8 would make more sense to me.

Lois was brought in season four right? To investigate her cousins disappearance? The thing is they could have had her around for a half a season, resolve that storyline, have Chloe inspire her to be a journalist (remember that there were several references that Lois was already in college and was having troubles, she was expelled or tossed out I think in season five which is why she came to live with the Kents in the first place) and then a few seasons later reintroduce her as already graduated and working as an intern at the Planet while Chloe has been working as a city beat reporter.

Once upon a time I heard that they thought, might have been Jeph Loeb, that season 6 was about as unimaginable as Green Arrow. We have to believe that they assumed that it was the penultimate breath of Smallville when they inserted Lois.

If Lois and Clark are going to get married then that means Lucy and Sam Lane.

Lucy is the sort of trouble you can hang a Hula hoop off.
