Smallville landmark destroyed

Supergirl is debuting on Smallville. She's going to sport the dual identity with glasses, reveal herself to the world, fly and don the suit before Clark.

Awesome. :023:

Smallville Suits Up Supergirl!

Smallville offers an exciting glimpse of what's to come for Clark Kent in the show's final season with the October 8 return of V's Laura Vandervoort as Clark's cousin Kara, who has been MIA for almost two years. "Kara returns in a very heroic way," Laura tells me. "When I found out this could be my last episode, I thought it would be great to see a quick glimpse of her in the uniform before she takes off." Lucky Laura's getting her wish!

Want more Smallville news?

"You really see her as Supergirl," says exec producer Kelly Souders. "Not the whole outfit, but her wardrobe will have evolved even a little more than Clark's. She's less Kara and way more Supergirl." Watch for Kara to don her new look for a photo shoot after she becomes a media darling following a heroic save that reveals her flying capabilities to the world. To protect her superhero identity, "You'll see Kara in the [brunette] wig and glasses [as] a bit of an homage to her other identity from the comics, Linda Lee Danvers," Laura says.

Might Clark be inspired to further define his own blurred personas? Souders hints, "Kara has a lot of input down the road in Clark's transformation into Superman."

Her costumed photoshoot for the public peaks my interest.

I could almost forgive any script if she's going to suit up.

But I also want to see her in a black suit like Clark is wearing.

Why would she wear a black suit? Kara's already leaps and bounds (no pun intended) past Clark with her powers...she has had nothing to give her any self doubt or cloud her judgment like Clark has. I've always taken the black suit to be a reflection of his self doubt and woe is me character arc.

She puts on a black suit. realises it sucks. Asks why the redblue blur wears black. Gets a redblue suit. Then Clark copies her.

Or maybe I just wanted to imagine she was mary marvel for a few seconds.

She looks good as a brunette don't you think?

OH! Oh!

She puts on a black suit... Mary Marvel kicks her ass for copying her, and then she puts on a blue suit.

^ Superman: No...I just had really bad writers handling me. I don't have the luxury of having Grant Morrison writing me like you do Bruce.

Laura reminds me of Hilary Duff as a brunette and that's only a good thing.

Does anyone have a speculation on how the writers are going to work around the hole that has been dug the past 9 seasons with many people seeing Clark use his powers? Wearing glasses now seems like a mute point. A friend of mine speculated the FOS was going to intitiate a planet wide mind wipe.

Someone suggested Chloe as fate would wipe everyone's mind.

Although with five episodes for Allison i'm betting it will be a slight head nod from Dr.Fate in full costume.
>_>

Jor-El is going to mind wipe everyone or somethign bad is going to happen and the story will have to continue on a Mirror Earth where that alternate Clark has already died or never arrived.

Remember in the Batman movie what Lucious said to that drone who wanted to blackmail Bruce Wayne about his hobby: "You want to black mail a man who wanders the streets of Gotham every night beating criminals to a bloody pulp?"

For some reason I think I'm the only one who doesn't think that there will be a reset button...not saying that there won't be, I just get the impression that unless it's addressed by Kelly and Brian (and Rao knows it could be given how much they've yapped) that people will just think the Blur is someone else and Superman is someone new when he appears. It should be noted that the comics have recently retconned that Clark was the Blur too. In Superman/Batman #73 there is an article on Lois's wall at the Planet that reads the blur has a name. This is weird since Infinite Crisis has also established that Clark was Superboy again.

Looking though my copy of man of Steel #1, Clark spent a decade as a blur, but according to the clippings Martha had he was called an "Angel" but not a blur, even though Clark was speeding and vibrating so that all could be seen was a blur till he saved Lois.

They retcon stuff all the time.

John's pulled all this Superboy horsehockey out of his ass.

Little Clark has been in the future recently in adventure comics and ALL of the legionettes have been trying to stick a wet one on his kisser since he is the ultimate teen idol.

HILARIOUS!

Clark apologising to Saturn Girl for sexually objectifying her in his mind was a bit of a tummy tickler too.

Yes and Imra has had a crush on Clark and after sleeping with Rokk and mind wiping it from him is about to meet Superboy for the first time in the revised origin in Adventure Comics which I'm loving to death.

I am glad LV is back as I said before but they really got things backwards and twisted on SMALLVILLE don't they? :sigh:

As sexually enlightened as I suspect the future has to be, I wonder why no boys are hitting on young Clark since bisexuality would most probably be the norm by then

Homorobolove is not homolove.

At least according to Futurama.

Brainiac 5 and Kara were crushing on each other in JLU.

The Good old days.
