Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

There wasn't really a turn to a discussion to a season eleven...just something Guy Gardner brought up. No word on Kalibek yet. As for any other JSA members...I don't think we'll be seeing more but who knows...I'm thinking we won't see Green Lantern of any kind on Smallville due to the film coming out next summer. Yep there has indeed been a female Dr. Fate so Chloe becoming the new Doctor Fate has precedence. I'd actually like to see Michael Dorn as Kalibek myself since he voiced him in Justice League and Superman Animated Series I believe.

Will Chloe get a scantily clad outfit coz her face will be covered by the helmet...gotta see some skin & her bust has to be accented. PROCUTUS!!!

I am not the source of all evil.

Fate seems to suppress the meat it uses as a vehicle, Nabu whatever... So really, if she's just a passenger along for the ride, what does she get out of it? They could tuck in the Hourman drugs/addiction angle just like they did with Willow in season 6 Buffy who was getting high, stupid and foolishly irresponsible from doing too much magic.

Nelson looked Batshit. The helmet might drive people insane if not the life one with Nabu's helm is forced to lead. How sexy is Chloe going to stay if she's got all those ticks and shying away from noise and light?

My whole "she's a man" skit might be plausible if Nabu is the sort of sexist pig men (gods?) liked being 3000 years ago... Fate used to be part lady in the 80s when a son and a step mommy used to integrate into a 'composite" being who looked remarkably "male" but Fate got boobs after the "son" died... At least I think he died? What i am saying is if Nabu is going to be taking over then Nabu is going to want to make himself comfortable.

Is Dorn retired?

Dorn was on Heroes? I know what he looks like, it just must have been information not worth remembering.

LOL. It will be interesting if this indeed happens to see Chloe's Dr. Fate costume....unfortunately the Chlovage will be covered up! This is a sad time folks, this will be the final season we get to see the Chlovage! Here's the Linda Strauss costume of Dr. Fate maybe this is what Chloe will wear?

Remember Mystique in the X-Men movies?

Lots of blue body paint.

Gods, I want to smurf her.

Eleven Smallville Spin-Offs That Should Happen By Craig Byrne
(Interesting read)

http://www.kryptonsite.com/

1. The Blue Beetle
2. The Justice League (though you can give it another name if you must)
3. Isis
4. Captain Marvel/Shazam!
5. Green Arrow
6. The Suicide Squad
7. Justice League International
8. Supergirl
9. The Flash
10. Wonder Woman
11. Young Bruce Wayne

Not on this list, though I'd like to put them out there, would be The Phantom Stranger, Deadman, Dr. Thirteen: Ghost Breaker, Adam Strange, the Teen Titans, Warlord, The Legion of Super-Heroes, and Rip Hunter: Time Master. Not sure if any of those characters would work in a Smallville episode to launch from, but I'm just throwing them into the hat.

Out of those we know that the "Blue Beetle" spin off is a very real possibility if not a reality yet. I second the "Green Arrow" one and think it's the most natural spin off they could do right now and lock up Justin Hartley. "Supergirl" is clearly doable and rumored when Laura was on the show during season seven but obviously with her doing "V" right now you would have to either wait until she became available or recast the role which might alienate fans who have already become used to Laura's version of Kara like myself. "Young Bruce Wayne" was originally the show pitched which turned into "Smallville" of course and won't happen as long as the Bat embargo continues to be reinforced by DC ENT and Warner. I don't think an ensemble hero show would work without being too expensive...but I'd like to see a proto Justice League show but of course my wish would be a live action "Legion of Superheroes". The rest of them I have no interest in...maybe a "Wonder Woman" show but I doubt that would happen.

A Legion Of Superheroes show gets my vote...Teen Titans would work too and on The CW would fit in well.

[edit] This is an interesting idea...

So how about Dr. Virgil Swann? Whether in a flashback or a clone, why not bring back the Christopher Reeve-played character, except played in Season 10 by (wait for it) Brandon Routh (“Superman Returns”). We already know Routh can play Reeve playing in the Superman universe. Routh was recently quoted as saying perhaps he played in the universe too recently for it to not be confusing for him to appear on “Smallville”. Except, if done right, this could be a lovely homage to the man who created the film role that made Routh’s first film role possible. What do you think? Tribute or tacky?

I would see as a tribute...if it happened...but it won't.

Easy solution...Swann had a daughter that we didn't know about until the Veritas storyline...why not just for shits and kicks Virgil had a son that's been in hiding as well and that went underground while all the Vertias madness was going on? He finally resurfaces during this season maybe to help out against the battle against Darkseid and he's Brandon Routh! I'd give him the name Thomas. Thomas Swann.

^Especially since it's not. ;)

Seriously though SMALLVILLE is an institution all it's own now...it is iconic to so many people. Hope it ends on a great note. :bolian:

No thoughts on my Thomas Swann invention? I'm quite fond of it actually. Yeah did you see the look on Kelly's face when she was making her comments? She was practically having an orgasm!

Yeah.

Oh sorry...sounds good...Virgil Swann could have a son out there...but a flash back would work too with Brandon playing young Virgil Swann.

A Supergirl spin off starring Laura Vandervoort (:drool::drool:) would be nice. Though I may faint from blood loss throughout the show every week. :D Anyway It could happen since I don't see V lasting past this season.

Failing Routh for your Thomas Swan, what about the 2 kids who played Superboy in the 80s/90s show? I saw the first two episodes and then gave up on it, but the bugger lasted four seasons so it had to have had somethign going for it.

John Haymes Newton (Season 1 )
Gerard Christopher(2-4)

I watched it too...didn't like it.
