Steve Byers will be playing Desaad and Michael Daingerfield will be playing the role of Gordon Godfrey.

Both will be in episode 3 "Supergirl"

Interesting take on that Jetfire...but I'm pretty sure that I saw Lois smile afterwards when we go outside the planet and we see the glimpse of Superman.

Maybe she thinks Clark is a goof and is in love with Supes...much like the movies...which I believe SMALLVILLE was trying to follow.

Yeah I agree with that assessment...they've used similar concepts from Superman the Movie in terms of the Kryptonians and the Fortress of Solitude and the Jor-El simulcrum which all come from the Donner films. Now the suit based on Superman Returns. I disagree about Lois though...remember that this was CLARK's dream not her's...Lois's reaction was based on constructs in his dream and his subconsciousness's perception of her. I don't think Smallville would touch anything to do with Richard White. I believe that it was implied that Lois was engaged to Clark in that dream.

Okay guys give me credit for calling the Final Crisis adaption and the New God adopting human host. I called it half a dozen or so pages back. I'm excited with all this news but the main thing with Smallville is always the execution of their ideas and here's hoping this season is at least half way decent and entertaining as it possibly can be.

They sure know how to keep to the CW's tendency if not policy to cast beautiful looking people. He doesn't look like he can act and Desaad is a pretty cunning, over the top character. Here's hoping he doesn't screw it up. I wonder if they're still planning on Godfrey being a radio host like which was speculated a few weeks ago or are indeed going the Final Crisis route of making him a Reverend who spreads the gospel of Darkseid. I wonder if we'll get Libra since he was Darkseid's Prophet in Final Crisis? Maybe that's way too obscure a character from them to bring in and Godfrey and Desaad will be enough.

Hopefully this whole Darkseid story doesn't go bust it would be a horrible end to SMALLVILLE.
