Smallville Summer Hiatus Thread III (Spoilers)

Dudes institutionalized.

Been watching party down. Lizzy Caplan, is the second prettiest Jewess on TV right now(obviously she's sandwiched between the Silverman sisters. Think about it.). She's awesome.

I medically need the return of Tina Greer.

Guy you are correct...Love Lizzy...loved Tina Greer. :bolian:

[edit] Was Lizzy nude on True Blood??? I don't have cable but saw something on google...

Yup.

Took her top off too.

Full frontal nudity.

Lots of it.

There was like 15 minutes where Lizzy and her boyfriend are dismembering a corpse but she can't be bothered to even put a robe on while they're sawing into flesh and mopping up entrails.

Netflix is your friend.

I hate repeating myself about Michael but he's said a couple years ago that he would return for the series finale. Then there was that lame interview or statement he made last year about hating shaving his head and the producers wanting him to use a bald cap and he wouldn't do it or something akin to that. Then he tweeted back in March that he wasn't returning to "Smallville". Now maybe that didn't mean "never" but I wouldn't expect to see Michael Rossenbaum as Lex Luthor until the series finale. Now in saying that wouldn't it be awesome if the producers stated that they have an epic announcement at San Diego that Mike would be returning?

I'm curious...when was Callum casts as Zod last year? I think it was around this time right? I think Callum was the only real major casting news from last year. That and the rumor about the costume and the movie that never will be lol.

I wouldn't expect news about MR returning until mid-season...if he does return for the finale.

[edit] Ok, I am close personal friends with Cassidy Freeman...as soon as she knows something...she will pass it on to me and I will let you guys know. :guffaw:

Brandon Routh Discusses The Possibilities Of A Smallville Appearance

A recent Q&A with fans and Superman Returns actor Brandon Routh brought up the question of if he'd be interested in appearing on Smallville.

Here's what was said:

13) Um.. maybe have Brandon Routh star on Smallville? Christopher Reeve, Dean Cain, and Tom Welling have all played Clark Kent. Brandon Routh is the only Clark Kent that hasn't starred on Smallville.
Would be fun, but perhaps a it might be a little bit strange since my portrayal of Superman was more recent than the others.

We (well, KryptonSite webmaster Craig) would welcome the idea of Brandon on Smallville if the stars could align and the actor could be convinced. As writer Jake Black once pointed out on Twitter, Routh would make a fantastic Mon-El...

Actually if they did Mon-El properly and not screw him up somehow I would love if Brandon was on Smallvile but I don't see it happening. He was fantastic in "Chuck" and I'm looking forward to seeing him as Todd Ingram on "Scott Pilgrim Vs The World"

^
There are many ways to go with having Brandon on Smallville...Mon-El would get screwed up...they might have to do something simpler.

[edit] Not simpler but could work...Eradicator played by Brandon Routh. :bolian:

I was reading legion comics for over a decade before I noticed Mon-El was an anagram of Lemon, which is exactly what he is giving his halflife.

10 characters I'd like to see Brandon play in no particular order:

Booster Gold.
Adam Strange.
Captain Marvel.
Steve Lombard
Captain Comet.
Steve Lombard.
Jason Blood.
Hal Jordan.
Richard White
Bruce FUCKING Wayne.

I'd love to see Booster Gold appear...I should have thought of him as a character from earlier in the thread. I could definitely see that working even in a Smallville-ized way.

I wish that they had made more of Bart being from the Legion of Superheroe's timezone. Dudes form the future, even a kid should know a little bit of what happened in the past considering all the alien invasion and mutations happening one after the other on top of one another across the reach of the presently concluding decade.

But no the full impetus of his savvy as a timetraveller is that it's a good way of "pickling up chicks"

but then, if they didn't make anything much of the legion when it showed up, then why would I expect correlation?

Jay Garrick and Impulse should have both been in the Absolute Justice double episode as a nod to the Flash legacy.

It still hasn't been established on the show where or who Bart is. It's very possible he could be Bart Allen from the 31st century or a younger version of Barry just Smallville-ized. I have thought from his first episode that he's Bart. I'd like to have seen him in the Legion episode.

I've always assumed he was Bart. He made that quip to Cholevage about coming back in time or whatever. It was presented as a joke, but I just thought it was like a half-kidding sort of thing.

It's always been good enough for me verification until they want to say other wise, but if he's not from the future then that pick up line isn't funny, and just plain odd and counter-productive... What sort of woman unfurrows her flower due to over whelming oddness?

OH.

Lana Lang.

Also the fact that he's used his Uncle Barry and Wally's names as alias's while he's here (presented as homages/injokes) makes me think he's Bart as well.

I don't know. I think it's dangerous to try to read too much actual DC continuity into SMALLVILLE.

I never got the impression that he was really supposed to be a time-traveler. I always assumed that bit was just a slightly awkward in-joke for the hardcore comic book fans in the audience.

If they had actually intended him to be from the future, they would have made a bigger deal of it.

^Would they though Greg lol? This is Smallville after all. If they wanted to make a big deal of him coming from the future they would have included Bart in the "Legion" episode since Geoff is the writer of "The Flash". I dunno. I just have always thought of Bart as Bart not Barry.

Comic-Con Panel Confirmed For Sunday Morning, July 25

IGN was the first to post details of Warner Bros. Television's plans for the Comic-Con International in San Diego, and it seems that Smallville will have their panel on Sunday morning as has become tradition, but this time it'll be in a bigger room - Ballroom 20!

No guests are confirmed beyond the show's executive producers. Still, the bigger room is very good news for the many fans who may have been unable to see last year's panel.

The Con will be covered extensively here at KryptonSite for those who still might not be able to make it.

Hopefully we will get casting news soon and spoilers as the 25th approaches.

Anyone see this quote from last month about what Welling would like to see for season 10: "Maybe a Lana/Clark/Lois triangle again, who knows. I want to see a lot of the people that the fans know from the show come back to see those relationships."
