This version of Clark can't do anything without someone guiding or telling him to do it. Sigh.

He's like a spoiled kid or something. You have to kick his butt to get him to move.

Jonathan will HAND him the suit. If it weren't for Jonathan i'm sure the suit would still be incased.

If a season 11 were planned the suit might be stolen or lost before Clark wears it.

^ LOL...or Jor-El would declare you're still not ready for this burden yet my son and zap it back to the Fortress! Season 11 would feature Clark battling the Legion of Doom (in their costumes and with all of their powers in tact) and he still wouldn't fly yet.

To be fair Brian and Kelly aren't the entire CW network, thank Rao. All of CW's shows would be modeled after Smallville's formula if that were the case which I don't think they are despite having a specific demographic.

The last episode is actually going to be about citizens of New Krypton from the future watching a holographic representation of Chloe sacrificing her life to save Clark's, which inspires him to finally become the hero known as Superman, and the New Kryptonians end the program right as Clark walks up to the suit, but before he puts it on.

Starfleet Academy -- We're not sure why James Kirk is even attending because he doesn't have any actual aspirations for anything other than to pine after Janice Lester while completely ignoring that Christine Chapel is in love with him and the best woman he could possibly pick. Also Khan is in Starfleet and has a love-hate relationship with Kirk (not to mention Khan's dad has a thing for Kirk's mom). And before Kirk graduates from Starfleet, he will have already defeated Harry Mudd, Gary Mitchell, the Doomsday Machine, V'Ger, the whale probe, Kruge, Chang, Soran, a Gorn and the Borg.

Top Gun -- Just like the movie, only no flying.

The way all the photos and promos and such are set up...

We're seeing Clark in a regular business suit before the wedding, in a tuxedo at/before/after(?) the wedding, but none of his pre-Superman-Super-suits. We see him in the weird orange light that we now know is Apokolipse in his tux, then in the fortress, then being handed the suit...

I think, dare I dream, we may actually see him put on the damned suit and fly to the rescue for the climactic final battle.

If we get such... I imagine much happiness around the fandom.

Yea we can make all the CW and Smallville jokes we want but the reality is the show was on for 10 years. Ten years of teasing us every week. Ten years of almost and maybe and kind of. !0 years is a long time and just think how many shows would love to get that kind of run.

I am still of the belief that the only reason "Smallville" was renewed as much as it was...had nothing to do with the ratings or having a core fan base but because the network had nothing viable to replace it with. On any other network "Smallville" would have been gone a long time ago due to the ratings. I think the same thing for "Supernatural" they are using it as their flagship show now, even over more "popular" and mainstream shows like "Gossip Girls" and "90210".

I'm watching a few "key" episodes before the big day, and something occurred to me during the Impulse episodes. Say you've got super powers and your main mode for getting around to save the day is running "faster than a Smallville pun", after ten years, could you just switch it up to flying one day... hell, would you, when you're so used to the former?? I think we'll look back on that as one of the biggest flaws in the logic of the show.

Two quick questions I wanna run past you guys:

1> "Clark Kent, Man or Superman" is the first of many, many, many winkwinks to the fans over the years... what do you think will be the last?

2> One thing I'm wondering is if we'll get some nods to other Superheroes are the end of the episode, you know letting us know there's a bigger world out there and maybe setting up a JLA SPIN-OFF... do you think DC will let Smallville get around the Bat-Embargo long enough for maybe a nod to Batman, maybe a soundbyte from the 89 Film: "A Giant Six Foot Tall Bat!"

^ There will be no Batman. DC will not let go of the Bat-Embargo. Like I said before, they enforce that with an iron fist. I don't think we'll see any other superheroes except for Ollie...I could be wrong though.

^The whole Legion of Doom and their assignments last week has me wondering... although its bound to be just an excuse for why none of them are around to help Clark in his darkest hour.

As for the Bat-Embargo, DC and the CW really know how to flip-off their audience. I'll settle for:

Green Arrow: I just met this guy down in Gotham I'd like you to meet.
Superman: Alright, set up a meeting!

Granted to the world's greatest piece of dialogue, but it'll do. Oh well, I'll keep on dreaming
