So what's this about Lex wanting to stop Darkseid?

"Clark, the only way we can stop Darkseid is to work together!"

Then Lex flies off, leaving Clark looking befuddled.

Well they should have a full hour lead in behind the scenes show with history and interviews and expectations...

They do that with Greys Anatomy all the time.

Smallville starts at eight and they never do anything before eight. They could have done a special though, the day before. Considering how long the show has run, it did earn that right.

Weren't they supposed to be airing the first episode too? I guess not...

Heheh. Wouldn't it be ironic after ten years of no tights and no flights that he took a role as a hero like Sentry?

He played The Human Douche on Smallville for ten years.

Something I was thinking about is...who will die this Friday?

1. Tess Mercer: Lex is back and one of those promos she was in a bad way. :(
2. Oliver Queen: He has died before in the comics, he died in the AU...why not now?
3. Chloe Sullivan-Queen: This doesn't seem likely but you never know. :)
4. Lois Lane: I wish...but no.
5. Clark Kent: I could see some sort of pseudo death thing where he is brought back...but unlikely. :borg:

Thoughts?

Tess is my number one canidiate. Ever since I saw Granny Goodness walk into her room last season I've had bad feelings about her future...and now her brother is back to reclaim his kingdom :)

You gotta give Smallville credit. After ten years and the never once did a clip show. Most other shows would have thrown one or two of them in there during that time span.

You've got a point there Broc, that was one gimmick they never pulled. Although I still think that the the 'Previously on Smallville' will be at least 15 minutes long!

As for who might die, I think it's going to be Tess as well. Usually at season's end, I always think that this is when they're going to off Chloe, but she's dodge the bullet to the finale; it would be a shame to kill her now. Plus, that clip with the kid on her lap does seem to indicate that she survives past the events of the finale.

Assuming that it doesn't turn out to be a dream or an alternate future that doesn't occur.

^ Tom Welling wakes up next to a pile of Superman comics. He turns to the camera and says "Damn, I gotta stop reading these things." CUT TO BLACK.
