Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

I don't know how old you are (or how relevant that is) but this series was basically Star Wars:Goonies.

My point, though, was this series felt like every kid adventure I saw during the 80s and into the 90s. Explorers, Goonies, ET.
What more reason could there be to hate it ? I detested those movies when they came out and still do.

So, did I hate Skeleton Crew ? Overall, no (although some episodes skirted it - episode 4 for instance) and the kids were generally less annoying than their counterparts in the quoted movies.

Overall I don't regret watching it, which was a pleasant surprise.

It's kind of all over the internet. Though figuring out ratings these days is more complicated than the old days.

I had assumed The Great Work was meant to be part of the Great Works started by Chancellor Lina Soh during The High Republic, but Wookiepedia has it as separate, so maybe not.
If it turns out there's supposed to be a connection and it's not just a coincidental thing with the nomenclature, that would be two shows in a row with a High Republic connection.

I say it because it was mentioned here. No matter how good James Gunn makes DC TV shows. In order to establish DC, they first need to make a Batman movie, The Flash and Aquaman movies that will also take place in the universe and then make a Justice League movie. But they can't do these because we've just watched the movies. They start the universe with Superman, who hasn't had his own solo movie for 12-13 years. This universe can't go with Peacemaker and Creature Commandos. As for Star Wars, I think Katherine Kennedy should go. But the person who will replace her is neither Dave Filoni nor Jon Favreau. Someone from Disney who understands the series well and does a good job should be put in charge of this Star Wars. But whoever comes can't do a good job in this series. There has rarely been a good job since 1999. By the way, I liked this show.

They really only need to do a Batman movie. Once you got those two you can then add Supergirl, Green Lantern, who would also be established and then introduce Flash,Wonder Woman and Aquaman in the movie and then spend them off into their own individual movies. Maybe toss in a cameo of the new Wonder Woman or something. In fact I that would be one of the selling points of the Justice League movie, Come see the new Wonder Woman,Flash and Aquaman for the first time all in the same movie.

I wouldn't be surprised if they incorporated some of these characters into TV shows and video games.

Can't go anywhere on the internet without hearing about James Gunn. :barf2:

Anyway, I really enjoyed this series, which surprised me, as I am not a big fan of The Goonies. But these kids were adorable, and I loved all the Star Wars pirate lore, and the owl-kitty needs to come back in something, and Jude Law was a fantastic Long John Silver in Space (not to be confused with Disney's other Long John Silver in Space), and I even wound up liking the Suburbia planet ("The entire planet is one big suburb.") because of the way they justified the concept.

Long John Silvo.

Why did I not see that before now.
