Spoilers Skeleton Crew [Spoiler Discussion]

I adored Kh'ymm and her alien design (I know nothing about any of the books or comics, so I have no idea if she's a new alien species or not) and I likewise hope we see her again soon. She was the best part of the whole episode, even better than KB asserting herself and standing up to Jod multiple times. The other three kind of faded to the back although I grinned at Wim and Fern's gun torrent banter.

As much as I adore Kerry Condon, I do hope the show limits its time returning to At Attin because focus should remain squarely on the kids' wild adventure and I don't give a damn about the worrying parents.

I'm wondering if Wim's dad knows something...something to do with his mother who likely was the one who introduced him to those Jedi stories. .
I was thinking the same thing.

I don’t mind seeing the parents. A lot of secrets on At Attin and the parents will be how they are revealed.

I'm the opposite. I want the parents perspective as much as the kids adventure.

Seriously. Why do people ignore the worried parents? As well as the fact I want to learn far more about At Attin.
That's fair. For me, I'm watching this show for the wild summer adventure. If this more of a drama, then perhaps I would be more interested in the parents' perspective. There's also the fact that I'm not a parent and with that in mind, if you're a parent, I apologize if I came off as insensitive on that point.

I did find it curious that only KB had both parents present, while everyone else only had one. But I agree that there's definitely something going on with him than just being a super distracted analyst.

Wild summer adventure films are a dime a dozen. We don't see how the parents manage with what is probably a rather challenging circumstance. I mean, imagine seeing a loved one whisked away on a space ship? It's not a matter of wanting more drama, but curiosity to see what the characters are thinking.

Never mind all the mysteries surrounding At Attin.

I'm beginning to think he was indeed another padawan Vader failed to kill. Guy was useless at his ONE job. :)

I see your perspective on this point. I just don't have that interest in it when I rather focus on the escapist adventure. Going back to the parents takes away from that.

Honestly, I have zero interest in most of those mysteries. The only thing I'm curious about is the sociological weirdness of the isolated world and I don't think the show is going to be exploring much of that.

I am hugely interested in the mystery of At Attin, and I do expect the parents to play their part in that story, but for me the meat and potatoes of this story is the wild adventure that the kids are having.

ETA-- if this were a 2-hour movie, then I would agree about just leaving the parents out completely. But an 8-episode adventure gives us more time to explore things like what is happening back home.

Ah.

I'm not much of an escapism person.

If so they will be disappointing.

I am definitely curious to find out the mystery of what is going on At Attin. I have no issue with having that plot point slowly being revealed as we continue to learn more.

I didn't quite get how the symbols easily decoded where At Attin was, but OK lol.

I still really enjoyed this episode and it was a lot of fun. But it did feel like there were some cuts and things just transitioned from in progress to done (like the escape from the spaceport). I had to go back and see if I missed something.

Nice to see that they didn't actually try to shoot down the ship with the kids. Was anyone else kind of rooting for the New Republic to take custody of them? lol. The New Republic are the good guys, technically, although the other shows really have gone out of their way to make them seem like goofballs. Although at least here they had a reason to kind of fail, since they weren't trying to destroy the kids ship.

I wonder if KB's family losing the signal to her life monitor is a deep cut to the Ewok TV movies? The family that crashed on Endor had some sort of life monitor devices were they could see if the other family members were alive. I believe it also showed if the family member was ill, as I think I recall the little girl being ill during the early part of the first one and the life for her being dimmer or something until she was healed. But also the lights going out in the second film as things got worse.

This show keeps getting better. I never watched any previews prior to watching so every thing is new and sometimes surprising for me. I love the Owl character, and I know that voice! I don't want to look it up but I know I will have to. I love that they got SM-33 back. I thought he was done.

Maz Kanata! it just came to me. lol I'm positive it's the same voice actor.
