So, you're saying it's Star Wars?I think it would be seen as a kids show but one adults might like. Violence likely not seen as a big deal since it involves aliens and ray guns and all that stuff. Things no grounded in reality.
Except for the first one. It was a bit more groundedSo, you're saying it's Star Wars?![]()
I'm guessing it's a scene that was cut or never even filmed, probably because of the looks of the SM33 (most likely) giving a 10 year old a gun. A similar thing happened with Star Wars Rebels, Erza is 14 at the beginning of the series, and he has an energy sling shot. Later he gets a lightsaber/blaster that's blasters function only seems to have a stun setting. It isn't until season 4, where he'd be 18, that we see him using a blaster. While Sabine uses blasters from the start. One, it seems she's older than Ezra, having already been to the imperial academy and spending time as a bounty hunter after. Two, she's a mandalorian, weapons are part of her culture. The bad batch follows a similar path with Omega, giving her an energy bow instead of her just using one of the DC-17 clone trooper blasters pistols, which would make far more sense. Except for the optics of a 12 year girl using a combat handgun.Did I blink somewhere? When did Fern get a blaster? I assume she found it on the ship, but you'd think they'd do a "Chekhov's gun" and make it very obvious.
Where haven't we?Our heroes get locked in a jail cell only to conveniently discover that there's a guy in the cell with them who's been able to get out the whole time but chose to remain in the cell for some reason?
Uh... where have we seen this before?

Where haven't we?
Looks l like Wolfman Jack took over![]()
Another "American Graffiti" reference??
Book of Fett I get, but Acolyte was pretty Star Wars-ey imho. I'd take Acolyte over this any day of the week.I've watched both episodes twice so far, and I really love this. This feels more like Star Wars already than either The Book of Boba Fett or The Acolyte, despite the familiar trappings of those two shows.
While it stars kids, I don't think I would describe it as kiddy. If I were to give it an american movie rating, I'd say PG.need a specifically kiddy centred entry
And didn't we already go there with TPM and the Ewoks?Did we really need a specifically kiddy centred entry in an already family friendly universe ?
In the first Star Wars, a "dumb kids movie", a man's neck is crushed, gouts of flame burst of the chest of men being shot by blasters, as well as no less than 6 pilots exploding. No aliens.I think it would be seen as a kids show but one adults might like. Violence likely not seen as a big deal since it involves aliens and ray guns and all that stuff. Things no grounded in reality.
I'm already more invested in the story, characters, settings and mysteries set up in the first two episodes of Skeleton Crew then I ever was at any point during The Acolyte.Book of Fett I get, but Acolyte was pretty Star Wars-ey imho. I'd take Acolyte over this any day of the week.
Did we really need a specifically kiddy centred entry in an already family friendly universe ?
And if so, isn't that the niche that the animated stuff fills ?
