Shocking confession

Lot of assumptions there The...

What if all Turlough's people have is a few intergalactic garbage scows

Well, yeah, assumptions is the foundation of all good Who-fic...

But come on! Wouldn't it be awesome to see a grown-up Turlough pulling an awesome starship fleet behind him? I love a good space-battle romp...

I don't know...on a different type of channel it might be worth seeing your version...

Ok, I need to get this off my chest, need to make you all hate me.

Adric really isn't that bad...

For quite some time I've thought that your taste in Who was startingly similar to mine. And then you drop this bombshell! I'm shocked!

Mr Awe

I only hated how smug and sexist Adric was. Unfortunately, that was a large part of the character.

I've only seen Adric in The Keeper of Traken, Logopolis, and Castrovalva and he didn't bother me that much. He was probably my least favorite of the three companions in those stories, but I wasn't too knocked out by Nyssa either.

I did enjoy Tegan quite a bit, though.

Granted I haven't seen much Adric lately, but at the time (being about 12 or 13 myself) I readily identified with the character and loved him. I was shattered when he died, and the broken badge with no music at the end of the episode (oft derided by some) left a lasting impact on me. I still remember being devastated about it.

I have a friend who I can almost bring to tears by mentioning Adric dying, it still haunts her!!

I have to admit that I have an immense fondness for the fifth Doctor/Adric/Tegan/Nyssa TARDIS team. And I always thought that Adric had a crush on Nyssa.

In "Time Crash," when 10 asked 5 what time period he was currently in ("Nyssa? Tegan?"), I wonder why he didn't mention Adric, since Adric was a significant part of the Nyssa/Tegan period. Maybe the Doctor himself would rather forget him. :D

Starkers;2630755}Adric really isn't that bad... I'll understand if people want me to leave the board now [/quote said:
Not necessarily the board but certainly the gene pool.:p

By contrast, every time you watch an early TNG episode, try saying "At least Wesley Crusher isn't played by Matthew Waterhouse". You'd be surprised how much better even 'Justice' seems.

Amen to that. That was my first reaction when I saw Adric too. "Wow, at least Wesley Crusher was never that bad!"

Yeah, but Adric didn't flash his knickers at every opportunity, thankfully. Though he did seem to be rather "excited" by the Master's prison in Castrovalva.
