Some of the characters have changed, just not for the better. Alan's gone from neurotic and anal (yet mostly believable and occasionally sympathetic) to batshit crazy and someone you want to toss in a wood chipper.
Considering Charlie and Chelsea had zero on-screen chemistry, dropping her from the storyline wasn't too surprising IMO. If I wanted to develop Charlie as a character by pairing him up with someone, I would've used Mia but the writers pretty much killed off any chances of her character returning.
Yeah you read that right. Charlie and Alex are actually friends...to what extent who really knows. It sounds like Charlie just ranted, Alex claims in that article not to have been prepared for what he actually said.
According to The Superficial (which is always right about everything), our boy Charlie is going to be interviewed on 20/20 this Tuesday.

It was pretty hilarious spinmeistering. Someone definitely wants Charlie to keep calling in.

I had to go look up the Chuck Lorre vanity card to see how bad it was to set off this huge a shit storm.
If that's all it took to set Sheen off he's a huge crybaby. It barely even counts as a joke at his expense. Hell, Lorre has written things about himself in those vanity cards a hundred times worse.

This is the card that Sheen was particularly pissed about, I believe. It never mentions him by name but it's obvious who it's about.
Writing about yourself and writing about someone else are two very different things. I can totally understand why Sheen is pissed. Is it over the top? Yes. But still he has a solid reason to be angry.
If I was getting paid almost $2 million an episode I would find a way to keep my mouth shut--assuming I cared about my job.
Charlie is on a big roll these days, taking the offensive in the press and showing us just how crazy he is.

That article is badly written. The show isn't officially canceled yet, but most likely is.

He has just totally gone around the bend. I don't know why I find this so fascinating, I don't particularily like or dislike Sheen, but in my almost 50 years, I don't think I can recall ever seeing a spectacle like this over a sitcom star.
Again, the cliche' about a train wreck comes to mind, you just can't turn away.
