Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

Why not? This show pretty much confirms it WAS canon. Even if it didn't, Stark was in the end credits of it. In Avengers, Bruce says he "broke Harlem" so the Abomination fight occurred.

And even if NONE of that happened, every comic incarnation of Bruce has his dad an abusive idiot and dead having killed Bruce's mom.

I was talking about the Ang Lee Hulk movie not being canon. I don't think the stuff with Eric Bana and his dad in that movie would count as canon in the MCU.

Opening of the episode deserves a 10. The ending is fun and wacky but an unsatisfying conclusion for me.

I enjoyed it a great deal. I'm in complete agreement about the opening being phenomenal.

If there's anything downbeat about the episode (cue "The Lonely Man"), it's that it was too accurate in terms of the criticisms that female hero characters receive.

No, I'm being sarcastic, it wasn't literally too accurate; it was spot-on. It's just too bad it's that way. It's a bummer. But Jen persevered and triumphed.

I'm looking forward to season two. Do it, K.E.V.I.N.!

Loved it.

- The call back opening to the original Live Action Hulk TV series (I was 14 when that show started with the TV movie).

- The "No! We're NOT doing a Narrator..." bit.

- The whole 4th wall bit with 'Jen' going to the writers room.

- The "What? EVERYBODY signs the NDA..."

- K.E.V. I. N. :guffaw: (Nice to see a studio head that really has a good sense of humor about the MCU and himself.)

- "When do we get the X-Men..." was a LETDOWN as EVERYBODY KNOWS the Fantastic Four STARTED the whole 'modern' Marvel Comics Universe dammit! She should have asked about that, dammit! :klingon::brickwall::censored:;)

- Daredevil 'popping in' out of nowhere.

- The off-hand intro of Bruce's son brought back from Sakaar. (Guess K.E.V.I.N. didn't save it for the Movie.)

- The after credit bit with Blonsky and Wong.:techman::lol:

I didn't think there was ever any question about it not being canon. Aren't the origins and backstory for Hulk totally different in the Ang Lee movie?
This was a fantastic finale.
As a fan of the Bixby/Ferigno show I loved the opening, and now I'm kind of hoping they keep that as the opening if we get another season.
I was a little disappointed when Blonsky showed up at the Intelligencia meeting, but I felt a little better when it turned out it was just a speaking engagement, and he hadn't turned on Jen.
I think pretty much everybody figured out that Todd was Hulk King, so that was not a surprise at all.
Loved the whole 4th wall breaking sequence. I really have to compliment Marvel Studios for being willing to acknowledge some of the complaints people have had about their movies, and to make fun of themselves.
Matt showing back up was pretty fun. I really like the new gold costume, now that we've gotten a better look at it in full daylight.
I'm very curious what they're going to do with Skaar now that they've introduced him. I know there's no way they're going to drop that bomb and then not do something with it sooner than later.

One of my favorite bits was K.E.V.I.N's visor. .
This is a fun behind-the-scenes-read: https://www.marvel.com/articles/tv-shows/she-hulk-finale-kevin

Apparently K.E.V.I.N. was originally conceived wearing an actual little hat and it was Feige who said "no" until they figured out how to integrate the brim to be part of the robot.

Feige apparently was also the one who gave the team the confidence to eschew the traditional Marvel ending when it wasn't working out. Between this and what I've read about Werewolf By Night it sounds like the showrunners are allowed a lot of input, leeway and trust at least on the television side. I think there's been more contention with the movies and directors sometimes though it seems that's been improving.

So, I haven't watched it yet. I've liked the show so far, but the reactions I've seen have been....

Extreme.

And considering *this* show, that's saying a lot. I've been "spoiled" on the Ultimate 4th Wall Break in it (which seems on par with similar things they've done in the comics. Haven't characters actually gone into "reality" and talked to artists and Stan Lee?), but it the end of it all.

How was it?

I was watching the Pulp Fiction episode of Community, and I' thinking "holy shit! Pumpkin is the Abomination!"

I feel like they tried to talk Kevin Feige into a Christoff from the Truman show like cameo, but he punk'd out.
