Spoilers She-Hulk: Attorney at Law discussion thread

She should have told the writers that Byrne couldn't have come up with something this lame before she left to see K.E.V.I.N.

It would have been hilarious if She-Hulk had walked past Tatiana in the She-Hulk costume doing some jump rope outside while waiting for her next scene. A full Mel Brooks walk of insanity as well as nod to one of Byrne's funniest covers.

Phenomenal season finale!

I loved how everything came together the way we expected and then everyone showed up for the big climax...and then SHE-HULK SMASHED it all to a crashing halt and utterly obliterated the fourth wall.

I also love how Kevin Feige has a sense of humor about his place in the MCU and how he manages things. A pity he didn't actually voice K.E.V.I.N., although the character was left uncredited but, on the other hand, Jessica Gao and Zeb Wells were played by actors so who knows?

When Jen rewrote her own ending and she mentioned "maybe bring back Daredevil," I didn't actually think that would happen! Charlie Cox lied to us when he said he was only in one episode, the bastard! That said, I'm grateful that we got a little bit more of Daredevil and Matt. Gives credence to their ongoing relationship and I hope we see more them together sooner than later.

But above all else, my favorite part of the whole episode has to be the greatest cold opening EVER (fight me). I loved the shot-by-shot recreation of The Incredible Hulk introduction, both paying respect to the classic Bill Bixby show and ribbing it just enough at the same time. That whole sequence put such a damn big grin on my face. :D :D :D

Lastly, Hulk did indeed return with Skaar (I guess he won't be going by Hulking...) and it happened in the most casual way possible, which is perfect for this show.

P.S. I was initially mad that Emil was hosting the Intelligencia but it turned out he was doing it "just" for the money. His redemption is still mostly intact (he did defend Jen against Todd's attack) even if he did lie and break parole. But now he's on the lam with Wong!

Best part was her face when she went "Oh and when are we getting the X-Men?" *cue look directly into the camera and a thumbs up* :guffaw::guffaw::guffaw:

That certainly was a finale i was not expecting, the complete annihilation of the 4th wall, good for Marvel to be able to poke some fun at themselves and to voice what many fans have been saying over the years.

I'm curious. Where is Bruce Banner's parents? Also is Cousin Larry is Uncle or is the mom related to his mom or dad? I am assuming the stuff from the Bana movie isn't canon.

Why not? This show pretty much confirms it WAS canon. Even if it didn't, Stark was in the end credits of it. In Avengers, Bruce says he "broke Harlem" so the Abomination fight occurred.

And even if NONE of that happened, every comic incarnation of Bruce has his dad an abusive idiot and dead having killed Bruce's mom.

The only thing I hated about this episode is near the end when Jen said to Matt "It's good to see you" he said "Yeah, you too." in response.

You’re talking about the Ed Norton movie, not the Eric Bana one with Nick Nolte as Daddy Dearest. But yeah, safe to assume both of Bruce’s parents are dead in this universe as well.

Hmm. So, my first reaction is that was a monumentally stupid ending. Even if I liked the mechanism with K.E.V.I.N. But the more I think about it, the more sense it makes. This was just a silly comedy show where nothing really mattered and you were just supposed to have a little fun and see Jen come to terms with who she is. On that front, the complete anti-climax works. None of the other "plot" stuff is important, it never was, and the writers lampshade that with the conclusion.

But, honestly, this was still one of the weakest episodes of the series, outside of the fantastic KEVIN fourth wall break within a fourth wall break. Jen's journey, of coming to terms with actually wanting to be She-Hulk after all, works well enough. When it's taken from her against her will she finally sees how important to her it is. But none of the rest of this was really funny, and it just felt like a slog because they had to fill time.

Overall, a decent if largely forgettable series. Easily the weakest of the D+ shows so far. I do hope this isn't the last we've seen of Tatianna in the role, she's the only thing that kept me watching week after week. But, honestly, I don't think I'd watch a second season of this. I'm not sad that it exists, something different is probably right up the alley for some viewers.
