In Joseph Heller’s “God Knows”, purporting to be the autobiography of King David (who comes through it like a classic wise-cracking Jewish comedian), he reckons that Solomon (or “Schlomo, that shmuck”) was actually a moron & when he proposed cutting the baby in half, it wasn’t a clever ploy to reveal the true mother, it was because he was too stupid to realise it would kill the baby.

What I've read about that story is that it was really a piece of political propaganda through allegory. Solomon was an illegitimate heir to the throne of Israel and he intended to seize the throne from the legitimate king, by force if necessary. So by spreading the "cut the baby in half" story, he was actually trying to sway public opinion and to threaten the king. He was saying that if the king (the real mother) really loved his country (her baby), he should voluntarily surrender it rather than see it invaded and devastated (cut in half) by Solomon (the fake mother). So it wasn't really about his wisdom, it was about his ruthlessness. If Captain Shamarzamvel really did have the "wisdom" of Solomon, I'd be pretty worried about his ethics.

Also any word on if Shazam will be PG or PG-13....curious to see if this will be one of the first that is NOT PG-13... I imagine at will be a "soft" one as opposed to x men Apocalypse which showed a throat slitting.

I just noticed that DC Universe has the 1970's Shazam series remastered and in HD. I haven't seen that show since it first aired.

I hate that you're right about this and I hate that there are so many people who are ignorant about who Isis was long before the terrorist cell existed.

Yeah, they already had to get rid of the ISIS spy organization the characters on Archer were part of, and won't call the DC character Isis on Legends, so there's no way they're going to use that name in a movie title.

Which is so stupid, since the "ISIS" acronym for the Islamic State was invented by the news media and has nothing to do with the actual organization; in fact, they hate the ISIS name so much that they'll kill people for calling them that. Plus, of course, it's a name that was in common use for thousands of years before they came along.
