This was a particularly awful episode. The whole thing was like what? 45 minutes long, and we got maybe 5 minutes of actual content, and the rest of it is irrelevant Earth plotlines that nobody cares about.
The ending shower scene with that IOA lady was so awful I almost turned it off, but thankfully the show was almost over by then.

I dunno, I could watch Ming-Na cry in the shower for 45 minutes, maybe even longer 10 years ago.
I enjoy Young's flawed character. He's totally not Shepard or O'Neil. Using ancient tech to stalk your wife...awesome.

I think Scott's going to go sour on her because she blabbed to Eli about it. I'm starting to get the sense that Scott gets her motor running, she likes Eli better. I think Eli is, too, considering he seems be resenting Scott less and less as time goes on.
I'm curious if twitchy scientist or crazy-pill soldier is going to be the first one to off himself. I thought Robert Carlyle said we were going to have a suicide by now.

Alright, that's it, I'm done. I managed to make it through the first series of Torchwood, but this is way worse than that. I want to watch a sci-fi drama, not All My Children in SPACE! I'll keep an eye on these discussion threads to see if the show gets rid of the shitty Earth drama, but if not I'm done with the show.

Enjoyable character episode bookended with some nice day-in-the-life music.
- It was both interesting and scary seeing the stones malfunction. Stuff like that could lead to some real issues with those things. Or so I thought. For now though, it looks like they were just plot devices they used to deal with the Young/Telford/Young's wife triangle and that was just slightly disappointing.
- When Scott went to Young with Telford's memories, my first thought was that maybe Scott was remembering what happened during that brief glitch from a few weeks ago when Young was having wine with his wife. I wonder why Young didn't figure it was that.
- I know a lot of you probably don't like all this melodrama, but I thought it was actually pretty funny seeing stuff like this on Stargate. I mean what's funnier than seeing a guy use some ancient stones to cross the universe to punch a guy out for seeing his wife?
- I was surprised that Scott told Chloe about his son. I thought he would have kept that to himself for a while.
- It was nice to see Zak Santiago on the show. I hope we see more of him.

At this stage, it's possible that people volunteer for the body swap visits and know what they're in for. I got the impression that everyone involved was prepared for what went down. Pun intended.
Especially in Camile's case. In addition to any more implications about using a the body of someone with a different orientation to connect with your loved on, she could destroy her host's career if the wrong person sees her with Sharon.
I enjoyed seeing Young beat down Telford, but I am getting tired of the looking for food, water, etc. I don't think we are going to see any aliens on this show at all. Are they ever going to move beyond the search for supplies+soap opera drama? I want some scifi action.

I was happy to hear a little Flogging Molly; that's two personal favorites of mine they've used now.
The memory bleed was a nice twist; I know a lot of people are complaining there isn't enough sci-fi in the drama, but "I saw your rival's memories and he was having drinks with your wife" isn't exactly something I'd expect to read in a New Yorker short story.

I actually liked this Earth interlude better than the last one, mainly because I think the visits were a lot better acted and engaging than Chloe's "boo hoo I was shallow" routine.
He needed to get it out - and of course, in turn, she needed to get it out, so who does she go to? Her platonic (she thinks) male confidant. Ah yes, the old pattern surfaces.

I also liked the music montages that opened and closed the episode.
I'm liking most of these characters, so seeing some development and conflict was not detrimental to the episode, but I can see where some of the criticism is coming from. But I'm liking it so far!

i wish they would concentrate on more space stuff and less of the earth bound emo stuff. when the show first started it seemed logical to explore the earth ties by way of background, and as the show continued equally logical to explore those ties again. however as the get deeper into space and further away those emotional ties are being continually reaffirmed and reinforced and its becoming a real distraction from the very real drama they ship and crew should be finding themselves in. the show is getting to feel overtly earth-tied with little or no regard for their predicament.
