Okay, this wasn't a bad episode by any means. But things were moving pretty slowly up til the end. I guess I was expecting a more action packed episode for the finale. But SGU isn't really about that.

A lot happened there in the last ten minutes.

So we have like, 5 or 6 cliffhangers here.

It is going to be a long wait til October.

When they found out about the pulsar, Young should have had Rush rig up a switch to turn off the shields on a time delay for 10 minutes. Then surrender to the LA, tell them they can have the ship if everyone can gate to a habitable planet. Gate to the planet have Telford jump through after everyone else goes and press the switch, wormhole closes, ship is irradiated for 10 minutes, shields pop back online, wait 10 mins, from the planet gate back to Destiny to a ship with no more Lucian Alliance. This is why you don't tell the LA about the Pulsar.

A variation on, "You Want the Liberator? You can have the Liberator" Trope.

Guys, I gave this 3 Chevrons, I have to say I was horribly disappointed in this. This had to be the worst ep of the entire first season, IMO.

Both SG-1 and Atlantis had far superior Season 1 finales.

Oh, and I've cut Camille Wray a lot of slack over this season...this episode has finally convinced me that she is a complete moron.

She was ready to surrender before any of that s--t even went down. People always go on about Chloe being useless, but she has contributed more than Wray ever has.

Well, both of my guesses were wrong: No Ghost-in-the-Machine Franklin, and Eli & Chloe didn't find something useful to save the day.

:(

I was actually hoping for both of those things too, i think the "ghost in the machine" type stuff is really cool thing to explore in SCIFI. I was also wanting Eli and Chloe to find something really rally really really frakking cool on the ship.

Agreed with you on that, I really wish they'd just kill the silly bitch now while they have the chance.

^ Well Eli was attempting to do something useful at the end.

Perhaps he'll find some useful Ancient gadget on his way back to Rush.

I mean, it's a big ship and they've only explored parts of it. There's got to be a bunch of neat toys they haven't found yet.

Well I hope so. We've only seen that cool Robot once.

I think there are more things to find. I'm wondering how much of the ship was actually been explored at this point. I knew there were areas they hadn't been able to access, but Eli and Chloe seem to be wandering around a huge unexplored area. For all we know maybe they have only seen like 25% of the ship at this point.

Wow, Seska and the Kazon have taken over the ship. I wonder if Paris and the Doctor can save the day. And OMG, Suter is still around, wonder what part he'll play.

I mean, really, will Shepard pull this off? Will Weir die?

I could've done without a cliffhanger, actually.

And Young is a fool, after the bitch killed a hostage and Wray got the civies out....vent the air. Preggers woman be damned. It's his command, needs of the many.

Buncha fuck-ups.

So, what happened to Telford and Kiva? And poor Eli with more of the "friend" spiel from Chloe when all he wants to do is bone her.

Anyway, not the best episode, but it did pick up at the end with all that cliffhangery stuff. 4 chevrons. Oh, and that one LA guy looks like Kevin Kilner.

I actualy like wray in this episode...

Poor Eli gonna carry her bow to stern and she still gonna screw Scott.

what a slut

Not a slut, just the the fact that while woman may say personality is important, 90% of the time they will choose the "hot guy".

Wray is your stereotypical liberal civilian. She's very intelligent but she acts according to inaccurate assumptions about how the world works. She goes about things under the assumption that other have similar sensibilities to her own.

The show was finally getting good during the second half of this season, but they flushed all that down the toilet with this pathetic Lucian Alliance arc. God I miss the Goa'uld.

3/10.

9 chevrons... Great stuff!!!

Are there Voyager parallels? Of course... But it really struck me during this episode:
SGU is what ST:Yoyager could only dream of being - what it should have been.

There were some great character moments... and some great lines that come to mind:

- Greer: "Then you need to learn"

- Hot scientist chick: "Don't yell!" :)

I am anticipating season 2 immensely.
