Again no one startred a thread, i guess i have this job now LOL I have decided to kick the poll down to 5 choices, no need for 10 anymore.

A lot of un answered questions, how many people were left behind, the whole mystery of the planet and the oblisk, etc..

Who is TJ pregnant by I missed it?

Looked like they all came back to me...

PS Anybody got any specs for Destiny or the Shuttle?

Her and Col. Young had a fling sometime before they got on the Destiny, it was never shown but refered to a few times by Young's wife and other sources. She said she was 15 weeks but I do not know if it was the begiining of the month they were there or near the end, i think it was in the middle.

That was an excellent episode. I would have given it a 10 under the old grading system. Right now, it's 5.

It was a real exploration episode. We didn't find out about any aliens or who built the system, but we didn't need to. Not knowing kept a bit of awe and mystery and allowed the story to explore the real issue of what this place was and what to do about the discovery. It really was about speculation and faith. Funny too, because I forgot the episode was called "Faith". Gustsy move letting people stay behind too. They also asked a good question at the end... What if they were supposed to stay? I wonder if we'll learn more about this place in a future episode, or at least who built it.

As for TJ, I figured early on that she was pregnant. I guess this is where they're writing Alaina Huffman's pregnancy into the show. Didn't think much about this even after last year's announcement. It's good that someone on the Destiny is pregnant. I was hoping that would happen, but I was kind of hoping it would be Chloe. Now that would have been something.

TJ looked great with her hair down by the way.

Pretty sure some of the areas used for filming were *exactly* in the same place that BSG filmed some of the scenes on Kobol. (I know they are filmed in the same area)

The location at the beginning was the same spot that was used for Kobol. One, maybe two episodes of SG-1 were also shot there.

Excellent

There was no action whatsoever, yet i was entertained. I like how some of the civilians stayed on the planet, including Dr. Cane. I also like how they're incorporating Alaina Huffman's real-life pregnancy into the show.

Is she pregnant with a fourth? Because Wikipedia says that her youngest was born in December, 2009, when was the first season filmed?

Pretty good episode, did they leave people behind? I thought they took everyone.

Well this definitely wasn't the best ep. I've seen, but still solid. I'd like to see something develop with an ongoing Young/Rush chess game. That could be fun.

I liked that they avoided the whole "oh let's stay, wait there is a monster here so we have to leave" cliche I kept expecting to pop up.

I would have liked some answers about the planet and the obelisk, but I'm guessing they might be setting something up there for future episodes.

Good thing they landed in summer.

The "meant to stay" angle had little to back it up besides the obelisk light that could mean anything. Take that away and it's little more than New Caprica...found by chance...and chance doesn't equal Destiny. ;)

One thing I didn't get... Why was the Destiny taking a parabolic course around the sun? That means that the ship is basically turning around and going back the way it came. Was there something else to the course correction that I missed?

The suns gravitational force was screwing things up, they figured the best way to work around it was to go around the sun and come back by the planet and work their way out of the system. An interesting note (to me anyway), is that, the time pacing seemed to have several episodes over the course of a month, but now we know a month(-ish) has passed. Wonder how long they've been on the ship.

I was thinking they'd been onboard maybe 3-4 months by the end of Faith.

That is pure speculation, I have nothing to back it up.

TJ was 15 weeks pregnant while on the planet and she got pregnant right before they left Icarus (<1 week?)

The scene seemed to have happened near the end of the month (Destiny is almost within range), so they've been on Destiny closer to 4 months than 3.

So it seems likely that it's been three to five months? Wow, when you think about it, it's kind of quick to have attempted murders and suicides and frame ups and abandonment, mutinies...

Definitely. I foresee a handy excuse for many conversations about life, the universe, and how much they despise each other. :)

I liked that they avoided the whole "oh let's stay, wait there is a monster here so we have to leave" cliche I kept expecting to pop up.

I was expecting the super powerful aliens to simply teleport them all off the planet, without a word exchanged. I was pleasantly surprised when they left it open ended. My only fear is that they will resolve it too quickly, like in the next couple of episodes. Let the mystery lie for a while.

All in all, a very nice recovery from last week.

I'm glad there was no contrived reason why everybody had to leave the planet (i.e. the planet was deadly afterall, or the aliens were attacking) though I was surprised so many civilians stayed behind... only the skeptical scientist and Chloe came back from what I noticed.

It's also nice not to have everything spelled out for us (like why the obelisk was glowing or what was written on it, you'd know Carter or McKay would've solved it by the 40th minute) though it would be nice to eventually figure out what happens to them and what everything meant.
