This update took rather longer than I hoped for various reasons, and I've ultimately decided to split it into at least one more update (which will be hopefully in the first weeks of the new year). There is a *lot* more to add.

This update was a little down to the wire get it done before Christmas day.

Also thanks to @NervousEnergy, @batboy853, and @Rekkert for links to several of the items.

Annotated Blueprints

One of the most involved parts of this update is that I've been annotating a lot of blueprints. Its an extremely slow process to clean up the images, correct any scan stretching, and then decipher the numbers and text.

A few were done before years ago, but have now been redone from scratch for both accuracy and clarity.

Note: as the Defiant sheets are reconstructed from multiple terrible photos, there is a *lot* of warping. I have dewarped some of them, but it is an very time consuming process, so I did it only with the worst.

Great update @Redgeneral!

One thing of note, the new images added to the 'STV shuttle' folder are from TMP. They're clearly done by Probert both from the style and hand-righting. Plus Shuttle B (2) has his signature and the date 4-77; and Shuttle B (6) has a concept piece of V'Ger to the right of the main drawing.

Year in review and the future

2025 was a spectacularly bad year for me. My fibromyalgia worsened to the point where I was in such high levels of pain that I had a lot of difficulty even walking around the home.
It took a lot out of me - updates became sporadic, I wasn't engaging on the forum and the Galaxy Project repeatedly ground to a halt.

Fortunately things are looking much better - my medicine has been doubled and lots of physiotherapy have made an incredible improvement (I can walk unaided again).

There will still be bad days but at least I can now have good days again.

Going into 2026, I am going to change a few things up.

Archive updates
The huge update that I had been doing were quite exhausting to do. I was chasing the backlog and burning out.

From now on, update batches will ideally be smaller, but hopefully more frequent.

Galaxy Project
I've been chipping away at the project again, and hope to release very soon. Some parts will be incomplete though (such as only part of the corridor layout).

Returning to the project has made me realise that I needed to improve my workflow.

First, to ensure more diagram space on the sheet (and a bit more flexibility for me), I have redesigned the frame and description box. Before it meant that diagrams on the right side had to be at a smaller scale, making it harder to fit measurements and detail etc.

When I first started the Galaxy Project, its pages were in portrait A4. Some sections are still in this format, but are being slowly replaced. Unfortunately it is not a matter of just copying and pasting from one to the other - everything has to be redone from scratch. Shuttlebay (series 1&2) has now been redone in the new page style with improvements to the side door and the main hanger door measurements.

I use Sketchup's Layout program to produce these blueprints and one feature is the scrapbook system. Essentially premade elements that can be dragged onto your diagram.
I've taken the time to build my own set of headers, overlays, text etc in the new style that I can just pull onto the sheet. This should help speed up page production.

I have also chosen to switch from inches to feet and inches. When I first started drawing blueprints (back in in 2012), not all cgi software could handle feet and inches input. Today the state of software is very different and I feel its okay to switch.

I did look into various Sketchup plugins to ease production - unfortunately I use Sketchup 8 pro (and Layout) from 2010 and its not compatible with newer plugins. Whilst the modern version of Sketchup Pro has some features that would be useful, I can't afford the subscription at the moment, so I'll remain with the older version as long as I can.

Voyager project
Its been a very long time since last release. This is because I wanted to focus on the Galaxy Project (including elements shared between the two shows) and that got derailed somewhat by health issues.

After the Galaxy Project is released, I will start porting over the shared elements and see how things go from there.
