Series Nine Air Dates

Take with the usual pinch of salt but it will apparently start on the 5th of September, with two episodes that night to allow for a cinema screening and will finish on the 14th of November, which (not-so-)coincidentally is when the official DW Festival is on.

Same here. Although didn't series 8 and 6.5 actually start on the bank holiday?

I'm gonna be in Cardiff on August 18 or 19, hopefully they'll be done enough with filming that I can actually take the set tour..!

Assuming that's accurate, and it sounds reasonable, are those the dates for BBC America as well?

For the last couple/few years, BBCA has been starting on the same Saturday as The BBC (Though of course our Saturday night is the following day compared to when Britain sees it), so, it's a pretty safe assumption (I believe Canada, as well)

Yep. It's the same on Space here in Canada as it is for BBC America. They run the same ads. I believe Series 8 aired on August 23 last year.

I'll wait until it shows up on Netflix. There's nothing that could induce me to pay extra for this except Clara being permanently gone and never seen again.

Good for you. I guess you won't comment again till that happens then?

Life's way too short to watch stuff you actively hate!

We're living in what's probably the best time for quality TV ever. In fact I seem to be permanently stuck with a couple of dozen episodes of various shows that I need to watch. If I can't make the time for the stuff I love, I wouldn't make time for the stuff I hate. (Case in point 'Sleepy Hollow', which went from brilliant to awful between Seasons 1 & 2. I won't be back for Season 3.)

Of course he will. He's been beating this dead horse for months. Although I'm sure he has tons of Old Who DVDs to watch instead of Series 9...he'll probably be here after every episode reminding us how much it sucks.

Yay for TrekBBS!

I've drifted away from shows in the past. If my interest in them wanes, dies, or I just don't like the direction anymore, I stop watching. And I don't complain about the show on episode discussion threads. I don't understand what purpose that would serve.

First teaser was on after the last episode of Orphan Black. (Though even calling it a teaser is probably a bit of an exageration!)

Just a point of order here; I do believe Timewalker is in fact a woman. :)

Aside from that, I don't think it's a big thing to be disappointed with the way a current iteration of a thing you like is not living up to your expectation. Some people just express it differently.

(aka have you MET Star Trek fans before?)
