Series 12 News & Spoilers

I sometimes call it the "05 Revival" to hopefully minimize confusion between it and the "Original", mainly when I start referencing yearly "series". I mean, if I say "the third series" (or year or "season" as I'm just a bloody Yank), someone could reasonably assume Hartnell's third year or Tennant's second. For that reason, I usually delineate by using the lead's name (normally last but switching to first when discussing the Bakers).

Whatever they do it's still the worst console room of the New Series*.

Capaldi v2
Smith 2 / Capaldi v1
Eccleston/Tennant
Smith 1

*Should we still be calling it the New Series after nearly 15 years? The Original was already up to the "The Key To Time" by this point!
The modern era?

I'd concur with that ranking of console rooms.

The last console room I liked was Smith's glass orange affair.
I hated the grey one at least they tried something a bit different with this one I suppose, but I don't like it.

Honestly, Smith's first console room is still my most hated console room in the franchise. It looks like what would happen if Pee Wee Herman was a time lord. I hate its look, and its console filled with random garbage for controls. Whittakers would be fine if the lights were turned on (and maybe if she spent more then 30 seconds max per episode in it, maybe it would start to grow on people).

She's also in the Writer's room for Series 13.

Remember when (some) people thought the series was going to get cancelled as soon as there was a female doctor?

Interestingly earlier the CV listed her as "Core Writer". That has been removed.

Chibnell might not be the head writer/core writer for next season.

Is core writer the same as head writer? I'm not familiar with the terminology but core writer sounds more like a staff writer to me, someone who is part of a core group of writers hired to be in the room for the entire season.

They never do, but if you can find a copy of David Banks Cybermen, there’s stuff there that inspires spare parts.

I was very lucky to have that book unscathed from my recent flood disaster.

In there was an old idea of the Brazen Head : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazen_head

Time is...time was...time--is past...

They look more like bumper cars now with that plastic protective guard around the bottom

I might have incorporated a jamming gripper for the plunger

This should be the head:

The housing of the camera I would have replicated as the spheres around the base...for a better Stealth Dalek

:D Her face and scream when the doors opened was just priceless. I also love how it took her a minute to notice Mandip and Tosin were even there :)

I see Bradley Walsh got Mandip's script for this one...
