Series 12 News & Spoilers

Ummm...why would they have news related to Doctor Who?
The reason given by Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick in the most recent episode is that AMC and BBC America have the same parent company making this a cross-promotion sort of thing. Though given the Walking Dead franchise has a lot of British actors involved (including Walking Dead's former lead Andrew Lincoln and spin-off series Fear the Walking Dead's current lead Lennie James) I wouldn't rule out the possibility of someone from the franchise guest starring on Doctor Who in the new season.

Since when did b grade TV actors appearing on Doctor Who become news worthy? I mean, I guess for the last 5 people still watching The Walking Dead it is. Doctor Who doesn't really have guest stars notable enough to be news worthy more then once or twice every few years (with David bradley probably being the last one), and I doubt anyone on TWD is a big enough name to be interesting to people not watching Doctor Who.

Still, it might get them a few more viewers (people bored enough to watch and not wait for the info to show up online within minutes), which is probably all they want.

The former co-stars of Law & Order (and Sex and the City), Game of Thrones, Downton Abbey (x2), and Sherlock disagree. Oh, and Sir Alan Cumming!

There's Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. Why can't Doctor Who get in on the craze?

The Timelords had bowships to deal with the Great Vampires. They could revisit that concept without seeming too derivative.

Allegedly the series is back on the 1st of January for the first half of a two-parter that will conclude on the 4th. Which if true means it's back to Saturdays again.

Aren't they suggesting that the Dalek special filmed won't actually air until next Christmas (2020)?
