Ah, my mistake. What ep was that? (Not that re-used footage is the same as "bringing them back" but I'm just curious.)they were in a SNW flashback that reused DSC footage.

The one with M'Benga and the Klingon diplomat, I don't recall the name. FWIW, Discovery used "The Cage" as a "previously on" and the Disco crew literally watched clips of "Unification II" and "The Chase", and made direct sequels to both of those episodes.Ah, my mistake. Thanks. Under the Cloak of War.The one with M'Benga and the Klingon diplomat, I don't recall the name.
I thought the exact same thing.Lightsaber.
She was an option Lal considered, IIRC.Always thought the green Andorian lady was just some kind of fantasy figure created by someone else on the holodeck that Data came across and his curiosity about it perhaps being fitting for Lal, but soon rejected.
Even Cindy Lou?

Series? One thing that would make or break my interests in this series would be how much Section 31 is plausibly tied into plot holes or unresolved story lines from the previous series. (Examples: the big aliens from TNG "Conspiracy," the future technology Voyager brought home in "Endgame," or Tom Riker.)
Or the aliens that were kidnapping people and dissecting them then putting them back together. Or, a follow up to the Doomsday weapon developers. Maybe in the Mirror Universe they attempted to harness only for it to still end up slaughtering people. Now more are coming. One thing that would make or break my interests in this series would be how much Section 31 is plausibly tied into plot holes or unresolved story lines from the previous series. I thought it was a series, my bad. I'm actually relieved if it's just a movie. I'm loving all the new "Star Trek" content, but there's too much of it at once to keep up with.Series?
If this does really well it could become a series of movies!
It won't. This movie is going to flop big time. The fans have spoken. Star Trek:Legacy or bust!Only Matalas can save Trek now!
That could apply to almost ALL of Jay's posts.

The novels have already good overboard treating Section 31 as the boogeyman of the Star Trek universe and having them involved with every shady and questionable thing anyone from Starfleet was ever involved in onscreen. Because apparently people can't be douchebags unless they belong to a clandestine black ops organization. One thing that would make or break my interests in this series would be how much Section 31 is plausibly tied into plot holes or unresolved story lines from the previous series.
