According to Terra Firma, peasant girl Georgiou saved the world from a Klingon invasion. Maybe that's what we'll see in the opening flashback, and those are the Klingons that appear.

Bit of general question but if definitely applies to Section 31. Do studios still do test screenings anymore? Was one done for section 31 ? I agree that end of day TPTB will invoke their own vision but there is precident that they do factor in "what fans want". Otherwise why do test screenings at all? If it's becoming less and less frequent, it does make it seem studios are more and more trying to "push
an agenda " rather than pleasing the audience. Which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's their property at the end of the day. But are there even any people who have claimed to see it in advance./unofficial advance reviews?

And btw I don't mean test screenings to the Trek audience. But the audience in general including the demographic they are trying to reach.

Yes, it is done and usually if the movie is not liked, if it is a big franchise movie, they reshoot it a few times and then do test screenings again. But I think they did not reshoot this movie in order not to exceed the budget even if the movie was not liked. Because there is no such news.

Big budget cinema releases still get test screenings I believe, Section 31 almost certainly didn't get one.

Well Iit would very interesting ( for me at least) to find if they collected people who like spy movies and movies like "guardians of the galaxy " and screened it to those types of fans . If that's their target audience, then why not test them?. That's what I would do. I get it only big budget films do it but I can't imagine this process costs allot to do.

That is why we always talk about the same things. We want the place to always feel familiar whether it's your first day or 400th day!

Hopefully it will provide plenty of thing for us to fight over for the next 40 years or so!
Star Trek is a franchise about peace and harmony and optimism about what we can accomplish together. Naturally, let's find things to fight over. :vulcan:
