Okay so Empress Georgio is a cannibal, war criminal, and her dang Terran star ship almost killed the Micilial Network and by extension the Multiverse, oh and she was barely talked out of blowing up the Klingon homeworld. Oh and I think she was briefly a bar owner, pimp and jane, so at least she knows how to have fun.

Yeah she is evil, and yes they will likely have her try and become a better person, in fact they already are, and no maybe full redemption is impossible, but at least trying your best has to mean something, even if you can't make up for all the lives lost.

And we really don't have any hard numbers on those she killed, she might be more Space Julious Caesar then Space Hitler/Stalin.

I mean remember WHY mirror Lorca turned on her, for all her murder, cannibalism, and conquests, he saw her as too much of a bleeding heart liberal by Terran Empire standards, he believed she was too welcoming to none human species for example.

Anyways I'm pretty sure Ash Tyler will also be a character on this series, so if the Empress is not to your taste, maybe he will be.

And the fact that Yes to Section 31 is leading now suggests there is a market for this show, even if its not for everyone.

I suspect given the lead characters, that this show will be sexier and might even have nudity.

I hope it will have a female orion character and somekind of Telepath.

I look forward to this show. I don't know what I'm looking forward to most, ST: S31, ST: Pike, ST: Starfleet Academy.

We've already been there, don't forget Disco S1 Klingon bewbs!

Believe me I'm trying to forget them, but some mental scars never heal. I'm talking tits and butts people actually want to see, not disturbing DIS Klingon boobs (this is not a reflection upon the actress, but what DIS did to its Klingons appearelancs in general).

How about no boobs, or butts? How about just a good story.

Also, please give me more DSC Klingons. More interesting than most Klingons.

How about both , it's not an either or choice . And congrats on being the only person who actually likes the way Discovery Klingons look. So just no, with the exception of human looking Ash Tyler.

How about no. Boobs is a cheap way of creating sensationalism in a story. So, unless it is absolutely necessary to the story I'm sticking with no.

I think I need more Discovery Klingons.

If my choice is gratuitous use of boobs or gratuitous use of the “F” word, I’ll take the boobs.

I like how the Disco Klingons look, too. I especially loved L'Rell's Geiger-esque skull and noticed that when she sprouted hair in season 2, her skull shape magically became human.

If anything the F-bombs in Picard felt a lot more natural than they did in Disco. But then, Disco did awkwardly draw attention to the fact they did just say fuck for the first time in the franchise's history.

Any way they were introduced was going to cause a hysterical reaction. Picard benefits from not being first to jump into new territory and offering a source of general comfort, as in many ways TNG benefited from TOS trailblazing without having to do any significant trailblazing of its own and still be lauded.

You know, the Disco Fs just came back to me today. I'm currently reading "Ancillary Sword" by Ann Leckie (It's the second in a trilogy, I read the first a couple of years ago and highly recommend it). It's Sci-Fi novel published in 2014, and there was a moment almost identical. One officer using the word, then being embarrassed at possible impropriety, then reassured by a more senior officer reassuring them by saying the same thing.

I'm very much betting at least one person in the Disco writers' room has also read this book.
