Funny how characters retroactively become fan favs simply because they're dug up 20-30 years later. People were even "OMG Okona!" for that Prodigy thing, even though the character originated in one of the worst episodes of Trek ever.
Nothing wrong with Outrageous Okona.
Maybe this is one of the plot points of the movie?

The premise of Section 31 from DS9 always had a lot of promise.
The moral questions of the Ends justifying the Means, etc. We saw Manny Coto and Braga do this pretty well on 24:
This is probably how I'd want a Section 31 project to play out. Perhaps even S31 forced to protect the Federation from itself.
The first photo released of Yeoh wearing the villainess makeup and looking like Rita Repulsa... I think this film will be on the cornier side. Perhaps a vehicle for Yeoh to play an over-the-top campy villain.
I don't buy that this will really draw in the audience that they want.
