Skrulls discover the Kree and the Coati and decide to hold a contest to determine which will be the recipient of Skrull generosity. Taken to Earths moon, the Kree build a city (the city the Watcher now lives in) and Coati make a garden. The Skrulls like the garden. The Kree get mad and kill the Skrulls and the Coati. They then steal the Skrulls tech and forge an Empire.
Yep. Part of the whole Celestial Madonna Saga.Thank you. I was trying to remember that old comic-book story from the 1970s, where they revealed the ancient origins of the Kree-Skrull War, but it's been a long time since I last read it. (Heck, I was in high school when it first came out, and I'm a senior citizen now.)
So, yeah, millennia ago, some well-meaning Skrulls were butchered by the primitive ancestors of the Kree, who stole their technology to wage war on them. And they've been at each other throats ever since -- at least according to the original comics. (Written by Steve Englehart, as I recall.)
How do you know his son didn't replace the kid?Why would “Bob” care if that kid was killed? It’s not his son.
It's a small thing but I was bothered by how the submarine scene played out with the CO having his torn conversation about his orders with the weapons officer. Obviously it was to play out the drama of the moment since the weapons officer was a Skrull, but the CO wouldn't be having that kind of conversation with him. If anyone, it would be the XO before even going to that station. I know it's not a big deal but it nagged at me.
I'm not Royal Navy or a submariner either, but I did serve in the U.S. Navy so things like that stand out a lot to me.Yeah, that whole thing on the sub felt very inauthentic all-round. Not that I'm a Royal Navy submariner expert (I only ever met the one) but something about it rather smacked of lacklustre research on the writing/staging end of things.

Yup, that was another thing that really bothered me. The CO was having this conversation out in the open (which is insane in itself)...and no one around them batted an eye. Yeah, professionalism and following orders, but this was an insane order. The whole situation was very Dr. Strangelove times 10, what do you do when you get, and confirm, an order that's obviously insane. The Captain seemed fairly spineless when he went along with it, and probably should've been more suspicious that any of the crew were down with firing upon allied heads-of-state with nuclear weapons. At the very least, some sort of reaction beyond a perturbed look when the spy tried to launch the missile anyway after the order was countermanded. This is one of those scenes where you can do a whole little story in microcosm that establishes character and scope (by showing how people outside the main plot are reacting to what the Skrull infiltrators are doing).
I also don’t think Gaia is dead. She hasn’t met the Black Knight yet.![]()
I'm not feeling this show. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was dead last for me for the Disney+ shows, but this might take that spot.
