Spoilers Secret Invasion grade and discussion

What's with the weird way the coat collars are bent and the camera focus on them? Hint at who is a Skrull or new fashion choice?

So, this is, what, the third time a displaced people have been used as a major MCU plot point in phase 4/5? Second time as people who are actually in the right but are desperately made into over the top villians committing terrorist acts to try and achieve a home?

Meanwhile, the Asgardians just move into and take over a chunk of Norway, no problem at all.

If radiation doesn’t affect them why not just move to Chernobyl? Someone might as well use that land

I think they're already living in a radioactive zone, that's what they said in the briefing and why they're in that old abandoned site with no humans.

I know but they would have more space. Plus bigger buildings they could repair and live in.
They could even help the humans try to make the place radiation free.

Well, this is Agents of SHIELD related, not Secret Invasion related and I'm posting it here because the MCU thread is still closed. It does, however, have to do with Nick Fury, so it's still an appropriate place to post this.

Nick Fury's new official MCU bio at the official Marvel site now includes details of his appearances from Agents of SHIELD. I hope this means that the show will finally and officially be incorporated into the larger MCU.

Oh! Secret Invasion! Ha!

I enjoyed the first episode very much. I think it very much sets the tone for what is to come. Going to miss Maria Hill though. I suspected something was up when neither she nor Martin Freeman were listed in the opening credits, despite being heavily promoted as being in the show.

As for the AI thing. Ew. But it's not a deal-breaker for me just yet. Just don't do it again, Marvel.

Bring on Coulson then. :)

They wanted enough land for their entire displaced species. So they want to trigger a Nuclear War which will leave a Radioactive planet only they can survive on.

Now why they want to do this to EARTH specifically, we don't know yet.

Oh, that would be nice. Fingers crossed!

...maybe we'll get a surprise visit from Daisy! :D

That said, having read through it, the bio doesn't include anything from Captain Marvel (including how the bio only speculates at the scarring around his eye) which is awkward when Talos is finally mentioned at the end of the bio in relation to Far From Home.

Mongolia then. :)

I wonder if the real Ross is dead. Or still in Wakanda.

Hill deserves a trip to Tahiti. I hear it's a magical place. Well, Project TAHITI was destroyed, but surely there's a Kree living on Earth that Fury can leach some blood from?
Ah, if only!

But I fully expect her death to remain permanent if only to maintain the stakes.

I've wondered the same. Still, I'm bothered that no one (particularly Hill) didn't seem to care to address that point.

My guess: Rhodey will soon get gift-wrapped footage of 'Fury' killing Ross in cold blood, to go with the footage of Hill's murder and evidence of him setting off the bombs. There's no help of any kind coming. As of now, Fury's Public Enemy Number One - a broken old man against the entire world.
I would agree...except, as seen in the trailers, Fury's meeting with Rhodey appears pretty cordial...and not someone who has been framed for murder. Even if Rhodey trusts Fury and wouldn't believe such footage, I don't think such a meeting would be so open and relaxed.
