News Season One hitting DVD/Blu-Ray in November

Why are you do rude?
Sis, I call it how I see it. 90% of those "reviews" are by fat, ugly, lonely, incellular, ogre-like plebs simply protesting against DSC and its progressive views. My big fat ass any of them have ever watched the show, which is starting Season 2 already on cancellation watch.

Now if only those plebs actually watched or bought the show... It's #487 on the Amazon charts. DSC is #5.
In fairness, The Orville is still in preorder/pre-release status so comparing sales figures to something already released is not an accurate comparison. Let's wait until it's been released and had about the same amount of time as the Discovery release and then we can more accurately compare sales figures.

Check out the butthurt Amazon reviews:lol:

What I've seen of the reviews is that they are almost all either 1 star or 5 stars about split evenly between the two; and I didn't see any verified reviews and next to no 2, 3, and 4 star reviews. This tells me that either people really like the show or really hate it, or more likely, we're getting a lot of review pumping to up the review score and a lot of review bombing to trash the score. A few of the reviews on both sides of the spectrum have been constructive either favorably or unfavorably, while many others have been either very fannish or unfairly critical.

I honestly think they should have two separate ratings, one for people who did buy it off amazon and it people who didn't.

And also don't allow reviews before it releases.

Sounds like the words bullies used to describe Star Trek fans back in the day.
And now it's used to describe fake Orville fans.

The Orville is already out here in the UK on DVD (which I have - it's worth picking up). In UK charts it's peaked at #56, no idea what the sales figures are. I'll be surprised if Star Trek: Discovery isn't Top 20 (even Top 10) next week.

What is a fake Orville fan?
The "fat, ugly, lonely, incellular, ogre-like plebs" leaving stupid reviews on Amazon that aren't even remotely accurate, because they're upset about DSC. When you have reviews from people that clearly don't even know the name of the lead character in The Orville (hint: it's not "Seth"), the whole thing ends up a farce.

That happens with every movie someone doesn't like. It's a non issue. haters gonna hate. It's dumb and childish yes but it's not exclusive to Trek. It's best to just ignore that and move on.

I preordered the steelbook from Best Buy, and I won't have it today. I got an email this morning saying it was delayed. I had ordered things from them in the past, and got it when they said I would, but not this time. I'll be near one of the stores tomorrow, and if they have it in store I'll buy it there. I'm very tempted to cancel the preorder now. I didn't like how the email was worded anyway.

If it's just a delay, you're lucky compared to how their Steelbooks usually go. I've only gotten one of their exclusive tin can movies once; went the day after it came out and found that there was only one regular BluRay left in the store (of a release that had both regular and 4K options). Poked around online afterwards to see if others had had the troubles of getting their copies like I had mine only to find out that supply was outstripping demand and that tons of pre-orders were being canceled by the store with no plans of ever getting the customer a copy. Long story short, you didn't get it off the shelf the day of, you're out of luck.

In that case, the movie was Logan and I would've dismissed it as a one-time freak thing, but I've heard similar horror stories with some of their Star Wars Steelbooks. Me, I've decided that I'm just not going to bother with them. I'm not even that fond of Steelbooks in the first place. The only reason I got the Logan one was I liked the cover art better.

@WebLurker looks like it was a delay. They sent me a tracking number late yesterday morning, but all they really did was print the label. It didn't actually ship until today. No notification from them at all, the only reason I know that is because I checked the tracking frequently. Looks like I should have it this weekend. I'm not happy with Best Buy right now, and there's an item that I would have preordered from them that comes out in December that I'll be ordering from somewhere else now.

For what it's worth, I pre-ordered the Disco Blu-ray from Amazon and it still hasn't shipped.
