News Season One hitting DVD/Blu-Ray in November

Yeah, that's fine. But to say it's overpriced is total bullshit.

Considering most folks can watch the entirety of it for $10 on the streaming service, it does seem a bit overpriced. Especially at its original MSRP.

You can watch the whole of GoT for the same price. What's your point?

You're not paying for just the show when you buy a home release, it's also the special features and manufacturing costs.

Went into Best Buy during my lunch break and they only had Discovery as a Standard Definition DVD. No Blu Ray. What is this, 2005?

I picked up the DVD collection from Walmart this past weekend. But I did see a Blu-Ray at Walmart today.

Over on the blu-ray.com forums some people are talking about there being production issues involving blu-rays because one of the replicator plants closed down backing up manufacturing so stuff is arriving late. I preordered mine last week and it said that pending shipping until Saturday morning so I canceled it. I was able to get an in store pick up. When I picked it up I saw just one blu-ray and a couple a dvds on the shelves. I know a guy who's copy is just shipping today and he had pre-ordered his weeks ago.

I got the steelbook. it was $45 but I had $40 in gift cards so it only cost me $5 plus tax. It's really nice. It's got a glossy finish. The picture on the Best Buy website didn't show trays so I was worried it would be stacked disks. I'm glad it wasn't. Also the Star Trek Discovery logo is embossed which i wasn't expecting.

The Expanse doesn't have anywhere near the same budget. DSC S1 has a bigger episodic budget than Game of Thrones S1, so the price is very reasonable.
Blu-Ray/DVD prices have nothing to do with the budgets for movies. Nor does, generally speaking their box office take.

No, I bought all the DVDs & blu-rays, but I'm not buying this for that when I already spend $100 US for the streaming app. No way in hell.

Wow. Ok, we get it, you're not buying it. I don't yell and swear just because I make a personal financial decision to not buy a Ferrari. It's really not worth being angry about, is it?

Just got my Blu-rays from Amazon. Looking forward to finally watching the show fully.
fully? You mean all episodes or what? I won't be getting this. I'm totally over the "need to get this to add it to my collection" phase. It would just sit on a shelf unwatched collecting dust. I stream everything these days.

Good for you, I guess. I wasn’t asking for your opinion of my viewing habits.
