Now I'm really high and everything is so funny hahahah. They really don't know what to do whit 09 shit and stuff they destroyed from real canon. Actually everything they needed after ENT was off, they needed 10-15 years of pause and with this production budget of Discovery they needed to create something POST-NEMESIS but something CANON. Playing with TOS era in '09 films and Discovery was wrong. There was no need for that.

There are exceptions but for the most part I don't trust them to actually kill their darlings when the chips are down. Most fan decisions, including myself, will connect every single bit of minutia, referring to every line back in each show, bringing back one note characters, without expanding lore. Fan service. But, in the drama of the moment if the character needs to die then the writer needs to be willing to do so.

And fans will not always be willing to do it.

A lot of the writers on these shows (especially LDS) are clearly also fans.

This writers-first, fans-second model has been the norm for all of the new trek series.

In a way I also enjoy the not-fans model of ST09 because at least you get something totally out of left field.

I'm still not convinced the section 31 series is going to be a thing so i'm wondering if this will lead to prime georgiou returning some how. Perhaps Mirror Georgiou goes back to the battle of binaries and takes prime georgiou's place and sends prime georgiou to the future.

It sounds a bit convoluted but it’s not outside the realm of possibility in Trek, but what if we got Prime Georgiou back via some timey wimey twist and she becomes the new captain? Although would be a shame to demote Saru. I really enjoy Mirror Georgiou but they can only go so far with her character without some development, possible involving a redemption arc.

Yeah timey wimey shenanigans was what i was thinking. I like Saru as captain but i really liked prime georgiou as well so i'm torn.
