The Least Disliked Episode 2025 - DISCO Season 3

So, here's the game. The basic idea is your standard elimination game. I'll provide a list of the episodes for each season and you need to eliminate your least favourite or the one you deem the 'worst.' Please provide an EXPLANATION for why you are eliminating your choice and be sure to copy and paste the list with your choice removed. Finally, leave at least 2 eliminations by other posters before you eliminate another episode.

No tactical voting! You cannot remove an episode just because you feel it would threaten your preferred episode's chance to win.
Pretty simple. Enjoy! :bolian:

"There Is a Tide..." had all the right ingredients to be one of my favourite episodes, but I found I couldn't give a damn about any of it. Being bored by an episode is bad, but being disappointed and bored is even worse.

And we have reached Disco's first season that works more than it doesn't! That jump to the 32nd century really did them good.

Though, this season does still fumble the ball in the final segments, so I'll ax "That Hope Is You, Part 2." This finale is not a total failure, much of it does work. But also a lot of the season 1/2 Disco nonsense reasserts itself at the finish line. The stupidity with the DOT "dying." All the fake-out "certain death" scenarios. The incoherence of Burnham's final battle with Osyraa.

Far from Home feels a bit redundant, it's basically the same as the premier just from different perspectives and Detmer's haiku about Stamets' blood is just weird and doesnt strike me as a natural ptsd response.

DISCO's best season... with a terrible ending and a stupid cause for The Burn. That lowers the season, unfortunately.

Taking out "Scavengers".

I hate the floating nacelles upgrade of Discovery. It makes no sense.

And Burnham going against orders again. It's tiresome.

What an interesting duo to be the finalists. This is a tough one. On the one hand That Hope is You was the exciting continuation from the dramatic cliffhanger that changed the very nature of the series and was a really fun adventure through this new world with tantalising glimpses into it. And Burnham's laughing gas trip. But then People of Earth has the shocking revelation that Earth has left the Federation and there is a whole new status quo in the galaxy.

They are both as consequential as the other so I would have to just them on their individual merits and I think Hope is the better romp so I shall crown it the winner.

Choosing "Forget Me Not". The more Discovery deals with mental health the less interested I am, and I think that's more of a writing problem than a me problem.

People of Earth
The Sanctuary
By the Prophets, I completely agree. It's like the DISCO writing staff hired a shrink to go through every script and it couldn't pass to get filmed unless it had crying, whining, or having some meltdown when a ticking clock was happening. It's why I could never take this crew seriously as professional, Starfleet officers.

Have your cry or meltdown and let it all out... when it's not in the middle of a situation. It's just unprofessional.
