Honestly, I consider the first season of Academy to be stronger than any of the BermaTrek shows.I definitely wouldn't go that far. Maybe one of the Kurtzman-era's strongest first seasons? Behind both Lower Decks and Prodigy.

Ha. No. They were the only high points* in otherwise boring seasons.“Emissary”, “Caretaker” and “Broken Bow” each individually are more impactful, more entertaining than the entirety of SFA season one.![]()
100% truth.“Emissary”, “Caretaker” and “Broken Bow” each individually are more impactful, more entertaining than the entirety of SFA season one.![]()
Given that I walked away from each show after a poor opener I'd have to agree. It took me a while to catch some better episodes for each.Ha. No. They were the only high points* in otherwise boring seasons.
*With the exception of Duet.

Same here.Heck, if I had to choose between “Encounter at Farpoint” and SFA season one, I’m taking “…Farpoint” every single time.
I'm with you on that.I'd watch Code of Honor for the second time before watching SFA again

That's because it's worse than anything produced in the Kurtzman era. But I've come to expect the clownish and performative dislike of the Kurtzman era from people stuck in the past.I actually...
Can't stand Code of Honour.
. We are definitely all over the place. SA is the worse show ever. It's the best show ever. Berman Trek sucked. But it was way better than Kurtzman Trek. Ds9 and Voyager were meh, but some of the best Trek ever made. We are literally all over the place. Well except maybe the Section 31 movie. That does seem to be almost universally disliked. Maybe not 100 percent but it is one Star Trek thing I do see much wider agreement. Did I have you fooled for a second there? That's because it's worse than anything produced in the Kurtzman era. Reading the comments hear I gather the only thing Trekkies agree on is we disagree about everything.
