News Season 2 will be the last (show cancelled)

The information is out there. Go research it yourself like I did if you want numbers. You can find stream minutes and viewers if you look hard enough. The Boys did far far better than Trek. Have fun.
They do not except the proof anyway, so I wouldn't waste the time on it. It's basically trash old trek to make the new stuff look better.

Those pesky people not “excepting” the numbers that don’t exist. Thanks for that, err, contribution. However, let‘s not get into all of that once again, shall we. I‘ll be charitable and assume your are just catching up on the thread and will at some point come across the posts where Kraig and I specifically asked to drop going around in circles on the whole The Boys / “phenomenon” side tangent as well as the futile attempt to compare other shows’ viewership numbers to those of SFA (since they still don’t exist).

I love DS9. Its my favorite series( in case the avatar wasn't already a give away.) But you make some good points. The truth is, the show clearly demonstrated that the old Rodenberry ideals don't hold up when the rubber meets the road and you're about to lose a war. Unless you are Julian Bashir and crazy enough to accept surrender on the hopes that your ancestors will one day rise up.

Ancestors? Descendants, surely?

Yeah, it is pretty bad.

Yeah....................

Im so glad that George Harrison grew out of that sitar faze by the time White Album and Abbey Road came around.

Far as the TNG episode goes, IMO one of the mist clever stories they ever told. But to each his own.

Never watched MST3K?

SA is the worse show ever. It's the best show ever.

Grammar question. I've been seeing this a lot lately, and I never used to. Have people just forgotten about the word "worst"? You know, good, better, best, bad, worse, worst? Is it due to a regional accent or dialect?

Not that anyone asked me in particular, but I watched a few minutes of MST3K and just thought, nope, this isn't for me.

I remember hanging out in places like rec.arts.startrek.current while TNG was still airing, and realizing that there were a lot of new Star Trek fans who only liked TNG. They wrote off all of TOS, except maybe the movies, as being just plain bad, not even in the class of so bad it's good. Some went so far as to say TOS just didn't count when it came to canon discussions. A lot of them didn't like DS9 either. Sure, there were a few TOS diehards who rejected everything new, but there weren't as many of them and they had much less influence on fandom. The whole Only TNG=Star Trek mind virus still pops up occasionally.

Correct. The word is "bratwurst", not "bratwurse".

Seriously speaking, however, I have noticed an increasing number of people typing or saying "more x" instead of using appropriate comparative/superlative adjectives (e.g., "more hot" instead of "hotter" or "most host" instead of "hottest").
