Tyler must have miracle grow. It would've taken months for his hair to grow from where it was in "Will You Take My Hand?" to where it is here. :p That's probably maybe three months' worth of growth to go from the top of your ear to the bottom and to get that good enough of a pony knob.

On another note: It looks like this is where the main storyline of the season's overall arc starts to come into sharper focus with Burnham pointing out the seven locations they have to search. She also tells Sarek and Amanda about Spock.

Prediction: I don't think we'll see Spock in this episode but I but when we do first see Spock it won't be aboard the Discovery. I wonder if we see Spock's parents visit him? Or maybe at least Amanda? She seems to be the one most likely to be able to reach out to Spock at this point, if Pike is unable to.

It was kept vague as to how much time passed between Q'onos, Paris medal ceremony, and the encounter with the Enterprise. I'd think a week minimum, but could have been months. I imagine the peace process took some time along with some post-war rest when Discovery returned home.

If it's months, that would solve another problem: Pike arrives juuuuuuust as the war ends.* If there were some time lapses at the end of "Will You Take My Hand?", there's more leeway.

* With things having become as bad as it looked like they had become during the nine-month skip, then it makes sense that it would be enough of an emergency that the Enterprise would start heading back. And then, before they finally do make it, they're no longer needed for the war effort. And it gives time for Spock to be committed.

My one burning question here... How does Burnham recognize the ship as being her foster dad's? As we saw in "Lethe", everybody on Vulcan flies those, and nothing but those. And Saru is the one with an eye for details; Burnham shouldn't be able to see Sarek-specific scribbling or scraping that's not visible to the audience. Does she just have a hunch? Or did she cheat by consulting a computer, and if so, why her and only her?

Maybe it’s name? The scene is out of context. Maybe a name is given.

Nice to hear the trailer. Couldn't do that last night. I'm not thrilled with the Klingon/Section 31 stuff, but we'll see how it goes.

Lethe showed that they had a connection due to the mid-meld from Michael's childhood. Maybe she just senses him.

It's interesting to me that it seems like over two thirds of the stuff we've seen from the pre-season trailers seems to be from the first three episodes (mostly 1 and 3).

What seems to be left?
  • Meeting up with Spock
  • Saru's reuniting with his sister
  • The mysterious black icky monster (possibly from the same episode)
  • MU Georgiou coming on board Discovery (likely with Ash in tow)
This is kinda exciting to me, because it means that lest than half of the episodes have even been teased at all yet. We have no idea what's going to happen in the back half of the season.

So I wonder if after all the good times the Feds and the Klingons had together last season if the Klingons have learned to speak English yet?

There is one Klingon speaking English in the trailer. But he's also mocking L'Rell by calling her a Federation puppet, so he might be doing it to spite her.

That's kinda funny...
Because She's got her hand up every Klingon's Arse with that Bomb.
:klingon:

They had to bring back the Klingons. They were doing so well.
Oh well... hopefully it’s entertaining.
