SNW is coming out on DVD. As are Disco S4 and Picard S2. ...In America, at least.I'm just glad that at least around here, they have finally stopped releasing these shows on DVD. We only get Blu-Ray's now. The faster we get rid of that old format, the better chances there are for UHD releases. Altough in today's climate, even those are rare.
Am I missing something? Has a physical media release for SNW been announced?
Sometimes there's no choice. Here in Britain seasons 2-4 of Black Lightning, 1 & 2 of Superman & Lois and both seasons of Krypton are only available on DVD. There are also homegrown shows here that don't get Blu-Ray releases.Season one Blu-ray and DVD are available for pre-order on Amazon as of a few days ago.
And, yeah, it blows my mind that people are buying new shows on DVD.![]()
That's weird, though, right? I can't speak for other countries, but in the US, high-definition television sets had reached 80% market penetration back in 2015 (based on some quick Google searches). It has to be somewhere near 100% today. You haven't been able to buy a standard definition television set for many years now. Blu-ray disc players have been available new for under $100 for years. And yet, even here, new shows all get DVD releases along with Blu-ray. That's kind of mind-boggling.Sometimes there's no choice. It's what I can afford and the current tech I have. Have to stick with what is feasible, though even then I lean more towards streaming than physical media. And, yeah, it blows my mind that people are buying new shows on DVD.![]()

I resent that! Mostly because I am fine with DVDS and yet don't get the senior discount!Seniors I know are perfectly fine with DVD's.
DVDs are cheaper and not everyone is a snob about perfect picture quality. For some, good enough is good enough. That's weird, though, right? If the story is compelling and the characters are interesting, a 13" B&W TV is good enough.DVDs are cheaper and not everyone is a snob about perfect picture quality. For some, good enough is good enough.
