Sarah Jane Season 5 starts Oct 3 in the UK

Wilf was really a one off, its not like he was the companion for a full series.

I don't know about that ... He was a sub-companion for one full series, and the companion for 40% of a second series/year.

but lets face it, other than a brief trip in orbit, Wilf has not really had that many adventures with the Doctor.

i liked it, I'm guessing Sky wasn't affected since she's a Human Alien not an actual human. and i too liked Ellie. i also liked that Clyde said he gave Ellie because it's probably not her fault she's on the street, although i wasn't too impressed with him calling her a scrounger.

i loved the gag about what type of toad was in the toad in the hole!

Don't diss the Wilf. He was cool when Rory Williams was still in diapers - the first time! lol

I dont understand these calls for SJA characters to appear in Doctor Who, no matter how good they are, I dont see why Moffatt would want a RTDs character as his companion.

Dont get me wrong, he would make a good companion, and he has shown this both times he met the Doctor. Clyde is the kind of character who makes you wonder if its worth breaking the (only possibly) unwritten rule (it may actually be written somewhere) about the show having a lead female companion.

What's hard to understand? They're popular characters well liked by the audience, they're already established in the universe and it would be fun to see them have a larger role in Doctor Who.

oh I understand why people want it, I just dont understand why people think it would actually happen.

Besides isnt this the kind of thing Big Finish was created for?

Perhaps. But if we can only hear, and not see, Clyde and Luke making out with each other, what's the point?

clearly that is something I have failed to consider.

*takes a moment to consider*

nope I think Big Finish can do Luke/Clyde without me feeling im missing anything, if it feels it really HAS to.

I wasnt even thinking of inviting Luke, maybe 11, Jenny & Clyde, however I guess Clyde could borrow K9.

Clyde does get Sarah Janes Sonic Lipstick, which he uses in her memory.

That was good. Sad.

Was Clyde reading The French Revolution a nod to "An Unearthly Child"?

Music was more awful than normal.

I liked the girl.

Rani and Clyde were extra-flirty in the first half of Part One.

Ending was kinda rubbish. What was its plan, anyway?

It sounded like it wanted to use Clyde as a conduit to bring itself back into the real world. Possess his body maybe?

It was all pretty vague though wasn't it? But it was really just an excuse to tell a story about homelessness anyway.

^Never say that name again!!!

SJA is seriously the best Who on TV. The way that they deal with issues like homelessness in this episode, and racism and fanaticism in last series' episode with the genie and the parrot without talking down to children is perfect.

It looks like the Night Dragon won't be the focus of the next story. That makes me so sad that we won't get a resolution.

But that's what she is. She had no choice but to do it, but she was still scrounging? Besides it sets us up to be one the one hand sort of glad that Clyde (:scream::klingon:) gets to experience what she's going through, but also still root for him because he isn't totally dismissive of her.

Wilf was a one off cameo in Voyage of the Damned who was so awesome they retconned him into being the companion's granddad! So it isn't like they don't have form, and the Trickster's brigade started in SJA and moved over to Who proper.

Just don't encourage Smith in his desire to have the big vulture aliens show up on Who...

Did you not see the van with "NIGHT DRAGON" written on it driving away at the end and homeless exposition guy explain that it took the homeless to other parts of the country for new opportunities?
