Sarah Jane Season 5 starts Oct 3 in the UK

Speaking of Rubbish beards, after seeing Eleven with one twice now, hes got no right to use that comment about anyone ever again.

episode 3, The Curse of Cylde Langer

Sky starting school seems underplayed, but she continues to be the new Luke, by not being effect by Cyldes name like everybody else. I wonder if the homeless girl is something more, is she the old lady in the next time trailer? Still I guess this is why they say not to touch things at museums.

Unlike The Revenge of the Mona Lisa, this is a good Cylde focused episode, and the episode was IMO better than Sky.

The show is as ever wasted on CBBC, and Cylde continues to be the best thing about the show.

Are you joking? Clyde Langer? OMG, worst character ever! Hes done nothing but drag the show down from the beginning. Hate him!

we are doing that here as well.#

Fine ill take it to its logical (if scary conclusion) Bring Back Kelsey, she was awesome, the best thing about the show without question.

Who is Cylde?

I guess nobody watched after the series premiere then? :(

A nice emotional wrap up for the second story. Even if the alien resolution was a bit easy, I thought the homeless issue was very well done. Especially for a 'Childrens show'.

I am still watching it

anyways I want to make 1 point from the first episode

The lady at the museum (town hall) said it was a good publicity stunt, yet when Sarah Jane asks Mr Smith if there has been any stories written about it, he said there wasnt.

So moving on to the second episode, I feel Clyde may have over sold the storm, sure it was important for him, but considering everything else that happens to Earths citizens in the Whoverse, raining fish feels small and unimportant.

Sky proves the hero, not totally unexpected this short season was always going to feel short, but Sky has managed to make it feel even shorter. Her first day at school actually went rather well compared to Lukes. Not sure why shse is refereed to as Sarah Jane adopted daughter, in the intro where Luke is her son.

Clyde and Ellie really work in the episode, added some depth to the story.

Well I knew you did Wamdue. But was hoping for a bit more activity in here. Ah well.

And I definately loved Ellie. How terribly sad that she probably thinks Clyde ditched her. Just another reason to feel bad that there'll be no series 6. I'd love to see her again. And actually I wouldn't mind seeign the totem creature again. With all those faces it was only a couple of tentacles away from being a great Lovecraft monster. :)

Oh, and I rather liked the twist with the Night Dragon. Fooled me, thats for sure.

I think of all the things we wont now get, a second story about the totem is VERY low on my list of disappointments. Yeah ok it would be great to see Elile again, but I can live without seeing the totem again.

I thought it was very smart of Mr Smith to use a passing ships transporter like he did, the show could do that more often, well if it had the chance.

What can I say? I latch onto the wierdest things.

Sorry didn't want to pop in here till I'd seen both parts.

I thought it was very good. The homeless angle was handled as well as you might expect from a childrens' show, and whilst many of the reasons for people becoming homeless weren't mentioned, I thought it was possible that Ellie ran away from home due to abuse.

Cutter I just got what you did there (at least I hope it's what you were doing! ha ha)

Clyde, as always best thing about the show, and I bet this had an impact on some kids. What if your paretns, friends, teachers even suddenly turned on you.

The alien totem pole was almost irrelvant except for providing a reason for Clyde's alienation!

And I love that Ellie wasn't her name anymore than Enrico Box () was his! Wonder if Ford lifted that from the film Closer?

Shame last week is the end, seems this series has been about the best I can remember. Clyde needs to be the Doctor's companion next series, he will be 18 then, they could even skip a few years and have the Doctor pick him up when he's the age the actor actually is.

I dont understand these calls for SJA characters to appear in Doctor Who, no matter how good they are, I dont see why Moffatt would want a RTDs character as his companion.

Dont get me wrong, he would make a good companion, and he has shown this both times he met the Doctor. Clyde is the kind of character who makes you wonder if its worth breaking the (only possibly) unwritten rule (it may actually be written somewhere) about the show having a lead female companion.

I don't know how written a rule that is. You could argue Jamie was the lead companion for Troughton after all, and whilst Nyssa is in the Keeper of Traken, Adric is clearly the only actual companion in the story.

and of course the companion in The End of Time was Wilf!
