Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 4

Awww, what a sweet ending to this weeks story. Only let down a bit by probably the worst nazis ever.

More shopkeeper and the captain please!

Really liked that, nice resolution to all the stories, twigged that the school teacher was a German agent but loved Clyde holding them off with his mobile phone (lets face it more believable than the Doctor holding off Daleks with a jammy dodger. Anyone else wonder if George's work on radar was at all helped by the bits of Clyde's phone?

Bet if RTD had written this George would have ended up head of CND or something...

Loved Rani's story, quitye heartbreaking, but at least Lady Jane wasn't forgotten (and hopefully at least a few of the kids watching will try to find out more about her :) ) I liked the SJS story too, when Emily held onto the key I almost expected she was about to be drawn into the future.

I'll forgive them the Back to the Future/Blink ending because overall this was a really good story, I can't believe how much they packed in!

Ah, well in fairness they're supposed to be comedy Germans whereas the ones in Sarah Jane weren't.

Was that lead German the Russian guy from the Deep? He looked familiar anyway.

Am I the only one looking forward to Julie Graham turning up next week.

Having now seen Part 1 (but not Part 2) this is going to seem a bit crazy, but did Emily Morris remind anyone else of Victorian Torchwood agent Alice Guppy. the timing is "ok" but obviously the name is wrong, but heaven forbid a Torchwood agent use a fake name ;)

of course its possible things may change in Part 2, and im totally wrong.

Talking of things that I might have wrong in Part 2, there seems to be some chemsitry between Rani and the very attractive young queen.

Fun storyline - not as good as the other stories but still watchable.

The Lady Jane Gray stuff was very much the simplistic Victorian view of her but I suppose it is a kids show.

I don't know shit about Jane, But Colin as 6 in the Audio's had some weaving in depth conversations with Mary and I was just amazed at how much respect his doctor afforded Mary despite the ethnic cleansing she was carrying though with all around him because Catholosism is more real than Protestantism.

ok the Torchwood theory proved to be off base, for one she had a child, however if we wanted to stretch it, she told her kids about a fake life, but really I think im going to have to kill that theory now.

Nice timing on the WW2 storyline and Cylde looking back, it being 11/11 and all. Did wonder the female nazi was going to say "listen very carefully, I shall say this only once" when I thought she was part of a resistance moment, but cleary I had that wrong.

I thought the shop keeper was really hamming it up, and im not sure the show should have another engamtic time traveller, still Billis worked on Torchwood.

Well the shopkeeper was used sparingly enough that I quite liked him, and the Captain, I could imagine him getting annoying if he was around for longer periods within an episode, but be interesting to see him pop back someday.

The overall story was a bit pedestrian, but I really enjoyed the individual stories. Two classic historicals (one with a grand feeling, while the other with a quieter note) and one with a twist on a ghost story, and each story appealed to each character's nature.

Can't wait for the return of the Trickster next week. :D

Ok the plot wadn't amazing, but they had an awful lot to squeeze into 2x25 minute episodes and I think they did a good job!

But yeah the Trickster's return is something to look forward too.

I am guessing the Julie Graham characters is actually the Trickester, his obession with Sarah Jane Smith has gone so far, he now just wants to become her.

As for the past episode, I think Sarah Janes storyline was a bit weak, and too similar to the previous "haunted house" episode.
