I sincerely doubt it, but then I'm not a fan.The "nobody" who directed the first one also made it the only truly visually interesting MCU movie. Does Raimi have that kind of skill?

Great choice although I'm surprised Rami would be interested in directing another marvel film as studio interference is what led to Spider-man 3 and Rami leaving Spider-man 4. I can't imagine he will have much free reign here
Even Doctor Strange? What I liked with Rami is that he portrayed Spider-man's powers in a visually interesting way. Something the marvel movies lack.
Yeah, I thought they might make her into a hybrid of the character she played and "Clea" from the comics (IE - she would have become a Sorcerer too.)Damn, that really sucks. I'm one of the few defenders of Christine's role but I was hoping they would expand on their relationship in the sequel.
I guess this means we'll be seeing Cleo.
Even Doctor Strange?
Wow, I had no idea that had happened.Ash is already Marvel canon!!!

That was Sony not Marvel Studios, and I would think by now anybody getting involved with the MCU would probably know what they're in for.Great choice although I'm surprised Rami would be interested in directing another marvel film as studio interference is what led to Spider-man 3 and Rami leaving Spider-man 4. I did see a rumor somewhere that they were casting for Clea, but I can't remember where. I only got to trustworthy sites like IGN, Io9, and Tor.com, but they still will post stories about stuff coming out of less trustworthy sites.Yeah, I thought they might make her into a hybrid of the character she played and "Clea" from the comics (IE - she would have become a Sorcerer too.)
That said, maybe he'll meet Clea in The new film.
That was my thought as well, especially since they have already announced that Loki will tie in to Multiverse of Madness. This makes me wonder if they'll be even more closely connected than I expected.Specifically the Loki head writer, which can't be a coincidence.
But for the same reasons, the Director will not have full control over what characters show up. Same as what happened with Spiderman 3.That was Sony not Marvel Studios.
Yeah, nobody cared about Endgame or Far from Home. They were just the biggest movie of all time and the biggest Spidey movie of all time, respectively. Nope, no excitement there! This is the most excitement generated by a MCU film is quite some time.

Your opinion. Endgame had no surprises in it,
On that note, Raimi's Spider-Man films are the best adaptation of the character, because the lead actually delivered a Spider-Man that felt so much like the source
Ah ha! So you admit that dance sequence in 3 was surprising?Neither did Spider-Man or Spider-Man 2.

I suspect Sam was not expecting to have to put Venom in that film.Topher Grace as Venom was certainly unexpected.

I was thinking he really didn't even want the character itself and that was more a studio decision. I may be wrong about that but I thought that was the case. You are correct it wasn't a typical casting choice.IIRC, he wanted someone very much like Peter/Tobey, as oppose to the usual burly type. In that respect, the casting worked, IMHO.
