Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman to star in Deadpool III (2024)

OK, so; BIG Deadpool fan, here, and I did not expect to be!

Just catching up with this Excellent Thread, and I hope to Holy Teenage Warheads that Deadpool writers are lurking here...they need to hire you guys as Story Consultants!!!

Well The Void, Alioth and the Giant-Man skeleton are all S1 references. And it doesn't seem to be a post-reformation TVA either.

So down for this.

So it's a Wolverine variant or it's Logan before the movie 'Logan'? It could slot inbetween since we know that most X-Men got wiped out by the time of 'Logan' and the character is in similar places but at an earlier time.

So I wonder if the portal at the end bring white is a trailer edit to hide where they’re actually going?

So I spotted Lady Deathstrike and Azazel. Either they're keeping all the big name cameos secret or they could only get the z-listers to turn up.
If the rumors are true, I'm pretty sure it'll be more than just Z-listers.

Probably, I think the MCU portals usually show what's on the other side.
That was a great trailer. Wolverine's backstory is definitely a big darker than I was expecting. I don't think it's the Logan Wolverine though, it sounded like whatever happened to his world was bigger than just the mutants.
Was the bald woman with telekinetic powers Casandra Nova?

I'm not the biggest fan of the first two Deadpool films (but love Reynolds' performance in both) but I'm so ready for this film. And not even just for even more Hugh Jackman (no such thing as too much Hugh Jackman!). The hijinks are going to be ridiculous and I can't wait for all of the universe obliterations that are inbound. I love Shawn Levy's work with Stranger Things and Free Guy, so I have a lot of faith in what he'll deliver, even with some of the potty humor (I know, I know, it's a staple).

I didn't see the first two Deadpool movies, and to be honest I think its way past time for Hugh Jackman to hang up his adamantium claws. He was 31 when the first X-Men film came out, and he's 55 now - that's just pushing it too far, regarding a character who's not supposed to age.

It's only been recently that it has been

It's only been established in the last twenty to thirty years or so that Logan's healing factor slowed down his aging process.
In 'Days of Future Past' published in 1981 and set thirty years in the future (2012), it was shown that Logan aged like normal humans.
There were hints during Claremont's run that Logan was older than he appeared, but it wasn't until after he left the X-Men title and other writer's took over did the whole "Wolverine doesn't age" get established.
I tend to think he ages slower than normal humans, but great trauma can have an affect on his healing process and he ages accordingly.

Yeah, but as I understand it, this new movie takes place before the events of Logan, and the upcoming plot hasn't been revealed yet. Anyway, I really think Hugh was pushing it, even before the 2017 film was made.

When I'm 55, I hope I can "push it" as poorly as you claim Jackman seems to. He's had zero problems playing this character and is in crazier shape now than his first outing as Wolverine. Not that that's even necessary, his acting can more than make up for it.
