I don't know much about this comic series but if Katee's in it, I'll give it a shot.

Is she right for the role, folks who have read the series?

And who should play the big guy? How about Adam Baldwin. Chances are, he'll be at liberty by the end of the season.

I can't understand how people get the idea Sackhoff isn't talented. Maybe they don't like Starbuck (she wasn't supposed to be completely likable - don't blame an actor for performing a role correctly as written) or maybe they don't like the roles she gets (she is getting a bit typecast), but Sackhoff can definitely act. I'd like to see her in a very un-Starbuckian role to see if she has range. If she doesn't, then she should stick with the Starbuckian roles. Plenty of actors do just fine with careers like that.

I assure you, I'm quite capable of differentiating character and actor. I have yet to see her step outside the range of crazy or angry and display any emotional state that might actually be challenging to convey. Crazy and angry is easy.

Edit: Except apparently for that dude in "The Room" - but that had hilarious results.

I'd like to see Sackhoff try a dramatic role with a bit of levity. There was the occasional moment of that in BSG (though less so as time went on), and she was pretty darn good at it. Baldwin/Sackhoff definitely souinds like it has possibilities.

Yes...and Baldwin was Temis's suggestion to play Walker. There's been no mention of male or female casting. This was just Katee tweeting and a website running with it.

Crazy and angry is easy.

I think it must be hard to do, and still convey a unique, specific and in some ways sympathetic personality. I've seen actors just chew the scenery and produce a character who is just "generic crazy." Starbuck wasn't like every other crazy, angry character out there - that's why the role worked.
