Started my RoP season 2 rewatch today. In the first episode I got through the flashbacks with Sauron, then paused long enough to go to YouTube for a season 1 recap, and then picked up the story right where I left off.

I just have no faith in Hunt for Gollum. Besides the fact that the story doesn't really deserve its own film I haven't seen any example of Serkis being a good director, and his connection to Angel Studios is very suspect. Also the fact that "deaging" might be used is just ridiculous, just recast if someone is too old, its almost like they think that having old cast members return is one of the only things that might draw people to the film 
What about Angel Studios is suspect? I genuinely don't know since I've never heard of it.

Well...crap.
I was a put off by their movies, but I had no idea they were that bad until recently. It's disappointing to hear Andy Sirkis is connected to them.
My main hesitation with Hunt for Gollum is just that none of Andy Sirkis's movie so far have gotten a very good reaction. I've pretty much been assuming the only reason he even got the gig was because he played Gollum before.

Depends on the film. Fireproof is one of my favorite films.
From what I can tell with a little internet research, Andy Serkis was shopping Animal Farm around to various studios and Angel Studios was the one that picked it up. 
So, I guess I won't hold it against him, but I'm still not going to see the movie.
