I'm not really a fan of the main characters in a show like star trek being romantically involved with each other, at least not with there being plots revolving around it
You mean like DS9's Change Of Heart for example.

been a while since I've watched that one but I might have to admit a certain level of inconsistency as I don't remember hating it
although that plot could have also been done without them being romantically involved. two officers that are friends and both important in the command structure of the station. one decides a defector that maybe doesn't exist or maybe has been given bad info (like in that TNG episode with the Romulan defector that was purposely given bad information to see if he'd defect) isn't worth the life of their fellow officer
I still have only seen Insurrection once, but I remember the Riker-Troi scenes surprised me as being the most enjoyable of the movie.
Frakes and Sirtis had undeniable chemistry.
I love the episode where Troi answers the door looking all seductive, and Riker walks in with a HUGE smile but then spots that younger officer inside, Riker looking taken aback.
I'm sure a lot of us can relate to that.
I hear it's Sirtis that asked if she could wear a uniform instead of her usual outfits. So the order that Jellico gave her was really to indulge the actress. Same thing about the fish, Patrick Stewart really hated that fish.

Deanna behaving like a dominatrix for the first and last time of the series.
^Marina is a good actress, they just underused her. I recall reading that she sometimes tired to play Troi with something of a sharp/sardonic wit only for the producers/directors/writers to tell her to stop because "Troi is not funny."
It was probably his pick up line.
"Hey babe, you and me were married in another quantum reality. Want to play footsie?"
I'm really surprised that Marina didn't try to join DS9 - especially since she and Dorn were such good friends and all, like that. Did she retire after TNG, except for the STAR TREK movies? What else is she known for?She could've transfered with Worf to DS9 and really screwed up the chain of command, being a full Commander![]()
