Well, we're all missing the biggest Mary Sue. After all, Finn is a stormtrooper and yet was shown to hit multiple things he was aiming at throughout the movie.
The film really does go out of its way to set the expectation that Rey is Anakin's granddaughter. She's an excellent pilot. She's good at fixing things (always has been). Is called by Luke's and Anakin's lightsaber. And is very talented with the Force.

I mean, Luke destroying the Death Star because he used to shoot womp rats is a little weak;
.
Her "perfect" flying skills were so terrible that she should be happy Han never saw what she did with the Falcon. He was going to rip off Lando's head for the tiniest scratch and Rey surely caused some.
It made me think of ROTJ immediately.

Han's got no room to talk he's the one who crashed the ship in the movie.

I don't think the womprats was why he was able to fire his torpedoes at the right moment. Obi-Wan was talking to him. Telling to trust his feelings. He said the same thing when Luke was practicing against the remote. The force, what little he could feel told him the time to fire. How the torpedoes work and figure out where to go I don't know. Don't need to. I always took it as the force telling Luke when to fire.
Rey is awesome because she can really fly anything.

Good point.
A friend of mine asked how they even got out of the Falcon considering they surely couldn't open the ramp after that "landing".![]()

^ I was being a bit facetious in my remark about Finn.
So he's conflicted and afraid and brave and makes both good and bad decisions? Just like a person.but still it was a lot of back and forth with him.
