Red Angel Theories- Post Here

But even if they render it neutered somehow, the only reason they'd have to trap it, as you say, is if they couldn't destroy the bad code that made it malevolent in the first place. And all that time lapsed may as well be an eternity for that bad code to resurface and replicate.
Who's to say it didn't.
By the time Craft showed up, it could be hiding inside of Zora.
Craft obviously wasn't going to be the one to help the AI get free from it's cage.

Unless it hid part of itself in the Shuttlecraft when he left.

No, because it’s meant to represent Burnham reliving Spock’s memories.

Previous series have done similar things with mind melds

Except Spock and Burnham weren't mind melding (or were they?). It was the Talosians showing Burnham Spocks mind.

Anyone else notice that Spock explicitly refers to the Red Angel as "her" in one line in last night's episode?

So it's not just a human, but a human female.

Given how this show works, it's almost certainly someone we've met before. I'm guessing FutureBurnham.

The Red Angel is Lucille Ball trying to keep her old TV show on the right track. Ricky will be along any minute now.

David Marcus' body got left behind on Genesis. Same with some Klingons.

Saavik and David were exploring Genesis while it was doing its thing. It affected Spock. But not them? Not at all?

What effect might the Genesis wave have on the mycelial network?

They could have David Marcus be the Red Angel....trying to make amends and also fighting something / someone that got ahold of Genesis that wants to destroy everything. The Red Angel seeming to be female could simply be the appearance of the suit.

I doubt they will go that route, but just sayin'....

The suit! OMG! The Red Angel is Ralph Hinkley!

No one find it weird that during Spocks mind meld with the red angel, Burnham suddenly appears. Horrible telegraphing if it turns out Burnham is the red angel.
I noticed that immediately. Not sure if it was foreshadowing or a clumsy edit trying to say one thing while accidentally hinting at another.

At this point I'm sadly having to lean heavily on the guess that the mysterious being so concerned with Spock and Burnham's lives is Burnham. It feels the most poetically appropriate option. I still can't rule out The Emperor, even though I wish that I could. With the revelation that it's human, I think the show has given us the hint that it's someone we know and already a part of the narrative.

Desi would have been 101 on March 2nd.

What if it isn't Burnham, but a descendant?

Maybe even a descendant of Amanda?

Now you've got this stuck in my head:

Hadn't-a been for Grayson, I'd-a been in Tennessee

Well, if this season is anything like last season we are right on the money here. That and the fact they make Burnham super at everything. The hero of the show has to be the hero who saves the galaxy.

Or it's William Shatner as Kirk.

I'm not buying Burnham as Angel, 1 because it's too simplistic (Michael Archangel) and 2 because Spock melded with the Angel and didn't realize the truth, or even a hint at it. Michael is NOT that good at hiding her feelings. If Vulcan training didn't give her that, I doubt temporal shenanigans will either.

Spock mentioned being unable to infiltrate the suit.
Given how Ash/Voq played out in season 1, simplistic can't be ruled out.

He couldn't get a clear read, but he got enough to see the future the Angel is trying to stop (we think). I'm doubtful the Angel could specifically show him that without leakage of emotion, if it was there. Or even just the familiarity of minds.

What if the person has been right under our nose the whole time and there's no deception involved with the Red Angel? "RED" angel? Tilly has red hair... Tilly (or Captain Killy trying to destroy the Prime Universe) is the RED ANGEL!!!   ;)
