TOS Love the cast and guest stars. The visuals were wow compared to anything else to that point.
TNG Good FX, good writing, cast only so-so.
ENT Liked the ship and some of the retcon. Cast was okay.
DS9 Didn't like the cast at first. B5 did a better job portraying a space station series.
VOY Exploring every planet on the way home got dumb.
STC Fan Films were fun to see TOS-like again.
TAS Just too kid-oriented and too "cartoon-ie".

Can't rank DSC, yet. Just bought the BluRay set but haven't watched it, yet.

I don't think I'll ever understand the love for TNG... if not for ENT it would easily be my least fav Trek.
Of course my fav series is the one everyone loves to hate so...

I have no idea the order of preference I wrote the last time I contributed to a "Rank the series" thread, but here they are in my 'current' order of favorites. The list is always subject to change.

1) TNG
2) DS9 & TOS (tied)
3) Disco
4) VOY
5) ENT

I want to mention that I don't hate VOY or ENT. I like those two shows a heck of a lot better than a lot of the other stuff I see on TV today. But that's just how they fall on the favorites list.

TNG - first series I have watched. It was great.

VOY - my 2nd favorite series.

DS9 - Not a favorite but was good. I only liked season 4 to 7 the most.

TOS - never watched.

Enterprise - didn't care much for.

Too early to rank Discovery.

Finished watching DSC. I liked it in spite of the massive retconning of Klingons, ships, technologies and history. They need to lighten things up, and I mean everything such as sets, costumes, character personalities, story lines, etc. Hated the mass destruction of the Federation, on its knees ready to fall; seemed like it was worse than WW1, WW2 and WW3 combined. Here's my revised list:

. Oddly enough the TOS movies are my favourites, particularly Star Trek 4 which is so much fun.

The TOS movies are overall better than the TNG movies. Odd, since I loathe TOS itself...
